Aarhus AAR Airport Overview

Aarhus Airport AAR serves Denmark's city of Aarhus and its surrounding areas.
The Airport is located in the town of Tirstrup, which is 36 km northeast of the city of Aarhus, and is accessible via motorway 15.

With two long runways and an estimated 0.5 million passengers in 2012, Aarhus Airport is presently served by  British Airways, Finnair, Ryanair & SAS, offering  flights to some European hubs, with connections around the world. Seasonal charter flights are available to popular tourist destinations.

Aarhus Airport has one passenger terminal.  (For more information, please refer to 'Terminal Map' page.)

Parking options at Aarhus Airport: Over 1,000 parking spaces are available at two parking lots (P1, the larger one is right across from the passenger terminal, while P2 is next to it). Some disabled parking spaces are located in P1, closest to the passenger terminal. For long-term parking, follow the signs, withdraw a ticket from the machine at the entrance barrier, upon returning from our flight, you have two payment options:
Either pay at the blue parking cash machine in the arrival exit - after payment has been accepted, bring the ticket with you and insert it into the machine at the exit barrier. OR: you can pay upon exiting the parking area by inserting the ticket into the machine at the exit barrier. Once the ticket has been validated, you have 20 minutes to exit the parking area.

To get from Aarhus Airport to your destination, you can rent a car ((Hertz, Europcar, Avis, Sixt, Budget), take a taxi (outside the terminal)  or a bus: 
The Airport bus to Aarhus is available 24/7, has set stops  and costs Dkk 95. Tickets are sold on the bus. Accepted currencies are; Norwegian Crowns, US Dollars, Pounds and Euro. You can also pay by major credit cards. 
There is also a bus route 212 available between  the Airport and Ebeltoft  / Randers,which stops at the Airport. For further bus information call +45 (0) 8612 8622.
