Terminal Layout, Amenities & services inside the terminals, & Visa Information at Abu Dhabi International Airport:

The passenger terminal complex at Abu Dhabi International presently consists of three passenger terminals - T1, T2 & T3 (T1 is one km from  terminals T1 & T3, which are adjacent to each other). Inter-terminal shuttles run every 15 minutes stopping outside of T1, at upper curbside, in front of Entrance 5; and at T2 in front of Departures.
Note that the new Terminal 3, presently hub to Etihad Airways, is intended to be an interim terminal until the Midfield Terminal, which is to become the Airport's center-piece, will be operational by 2017.

Self-service check-in facilities
are now also available in the Park Rotana Hotel at Abu Dhabi.

Terminal 1 - which has just completed its refurbishment and upgrade work - has on the ground level some concessions and gates 17 & 18. Level 1 of T1 is divided into Arrivals (baggage area, passport control) and Departure area (check-in counters, security check) leading to the  the gate area with concessions in the center and 5 gateways leading (right to left) Gates 2 - 12.

Terminal 2 has an entrance to the departure area, with ticketing & check-in counters, security check, duty-fre area, transit area, business class lounge and access to gates 23-25. The Arrivals areas are to the left and house an Arrivlas and Transit area, passport control, prayer rooms and baggage area, and in front of it the passenger pickup area.

Terminal 3 has on the Arrivals level (from E gates 2-9) the Passport control & baggage claim and on the Departures level two separate entrances - one for business class, the other to the ticketing & check-in counters, both of which lead to the concession area and the gate area E2-E9.

Amenities and services inside the Terminals:  All terminals offer duty-free shops,  food & drink establishments, as well as:
ATM cash machines, accepting major credit cards & UAE bank cards, are in T1, T1A, T2 - pre- and post-security.
Banking: The National Bank of Abu Dhabi is in T1 & T2, pre- & post-security.
Foreign Currency Exchange is available at: T1, pre-security, Arrivals Hall, at Departure check-in area near Gate 1, & two near gates 5 & 6, and at T2, pre-security Arrivals hall, and at National Bank of Abu Dhabi counter.
Business Center: inside the Airport Hotel (free to hotel guests, at fee for public usage).
Medical services are available in T1 transit near Immigration Arrivals Hall. 
A pharmacy is in T1, groundloor of transit satellite.
Oracle E-Business Suite - has now opened its first phase.
Post Office is at T1, pre-security, ground floor near staff tunnel. A mail box is at T1 satellite, post-security, ground floor, near escalators.
Telephone cards are available from Duty-Free outlets at AED30 & AED40.
Ticket counters for more than 30 airlines are in the departure check-in hall of T1 & T2.
Travel services: The 'Golden Class Meet & Assist Services' are available to all passengers (tel. +971 (0)2 5757466)

VIP Lounges available:
1. Airport Hotel Lounge (tel. +971 (0) 2 5757377), available to any passenger, at AED 100 or US$28 at 4-hr intervals, located in T1 transit, right side after Departure Immigration Hall.
(b) Ghazal Lounge (tel. +971 (0)2 5052745, available to any passenger, at AED 100 or US$28 at 4-hr intervals, located in T1 transit, to the left, after Departure Immigration Hall.
2. Al Dana Lounge (tel. +971 (2) 5052290, available by invitation only, for reservation contact the Ghazal lounge; located in T1 transit satellite at ground floor, entering through gates 14 & 15.
3. Etihad Premium Lounge (tel. +971 (0)2 5053028, available to travelers on Etihad Premium, or to Guest Loyalty Program members of Gold or Silver tiers.
4. Al Dar Lounge (tel. +971 (0)2 5758324), located in T2 transit, passenger waiting area, opens upon request.
5. Terminal 2 Premiu Lounge (Tel. +971 (0)2 553869) in T2 transit / passenger waiting area.

VISA Information:
BCC citizens are exempted.  Presently citizens of 33 countries (EU members, the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia & Hong Kong). will receive, upon entry to the UAE, a free Visitors Visa.  Citizens from other countries need to apply to their nearest UAE embassy.
