Almeria LEI Airport Overview

Almería Airport LEI serves the Anadulian province of Almeria, Spain, and is gateway to the tourist destinations of Cabo de Gata, Aguadulce, Roquetas de Mar, El Ejido and Mojacar.

The Airport is located at the center of the Bay of Almeria, 9 km east  of the city center of Almeria, in south-east Spain. It is close to the towns of El Alquian & Cotacabana, and is accessible via A7 (Motorway of the Mediterranean), marked with a clear sign to the Airport exit, through the AL-17 dual carriageway.

With an estimated 730,000 passengers in 2012, regular national and international, as well as low-cost Airlines serve the airport with direct and connecting flights to Europe and beyond. Numerous charter flights arrive and depart daily.

The modern passenger terminal at Ameria Airport has two levels - the ground level P0 and the first level P1.
The ground level of the passenger terminal contains: Aena Information points  tel. 902 404 704, Tourist Information, tel. 950 292 918 Lost luggage is handled by either Flightcare, tel. 950 213 986, or Swissport, tel. 950 213 797; pharmacy on P0 level, tel. 950 290 1999; lost property (other than luggage) is in the office of the Airport Services Agent; a Cafeteria and Free Flow are at pre-security. Tour operator Viajes CEMO, tel. 950 213 847, & Iberoservice, tel. 950 13 802. ATM cash machines (4B (Banco de Andalucia) & Servired (Cajamar); TAF services for passenger transport, tel. 600 411 411, as well as a First Aid station & Meeting point.
Level 1 of the passenger terminal contains the Almariya cafeteria at post-security, the multi-shop Travel Value & Duty Free called ‘Aldeasa’, and an observation terrace.

Rental car counters are located on the ground level P0, in the arrivals area.

To get from the Airport to your destination, you can rent a car, take a taxi or a bus.
The local bus line 20 links the airport with the city center.  Once at the Intermodal Station, which is 8 km from the Airport, you can link up by bus or train to other destinations. You could also travel to Melilla on a variety of ferries (Ferry Maroc and Transmediterránea) from the Port of Almeria.
