Alta ALF Airport Overview
With a short runway and an estimated 380,000 passengers annually, Alta Airport is a semi-hub for the SAS Group and is served by SAS, Wideroe and Norwegian airlines, offering direct flights to various destinations, including Oslo, with connections around the world.
It is advisable to check in one hour prior to domestic departure and 1.5 hours prior to international departures.
The new passenger terminal at Alta Airport, opened in 2009. Inside the terminal are SAS check-in machines, comfortable waiting hall, a restaurant, a kiosk carrying rading material & snacks; souvenir kiosk, cash dispenser and rental car desks. Free WiFi access (select AIRPORT, at browser login select GRATIS WiFi). The terminal offers self-service check-in machines you may select your seat there and print out your boarding card. If checking in at the desk you may print your baggage tags at one of the check-in machines, attach to bag and deposit it at 'bagdrop' counter.
