Packing for 10 day trip and realize I may need to check a I have to pick up my baggage in AMS and recheck for flight to Madrid...with only 1 hour layover will I make the next flight (why would Delta book this tight connection if not they count on no checked bags?)
You don't have to claim your bags in Amsterdam if both flights are on the same reservation.
Hi, we will be arriving to AMS airport from Kuwait at 10 o'clock and then we need to take our next flight to Houston at 11:15. 1 hour 15 minutes are sufficient to catch our next flight? And in case no do we have to buy new tickets or no? Thank you
Yes, that should be enough time. If you miss your connection you will be rebooked free of charge.
Greetings-In December- Flying PDX (Portland, OR) via AMS to ABZ (Aberdeen, Scotland}. We have 1 hour between arrival and departure in AMS. Booked all the way through on Delta, however, I believe the flight from AMS to ABZ is on City Hopper. Will this be enough time?
Yes, that is enough time if the flight from Portland is on-time.
I will be flying in with my G7 Gulfstream. What is the approach runway?
Departing from Houston Bush- Have an extra seat if interested and don't mind traveling with my dog
The runway depends on the prevailing winds on the day of your flight.
In November I will be traveling from Glasgow to the US via AMS. The GLA to AMS leg will be on a KLM Cityhopper flight. Only 50 minutes connecting time in AMS to KLM flight to ATL. Is this doable? The ticket was booked through
Yes, that is possible. All you have to do in Amsterdam is go to the US Security questions gate and then your real gate and board the plane.
My wife is traveling from PDX to DEL on above mentioned flights on a single ticket. Will she be issued boarding passes for both the flights at PDX, and will the checked-in luggage booked to final destination.
What formalities she will have to undergo at AMS and how she should transfer to 9W 233 from 9W 8037
Yes, she will be given both boarding passes in Portland. All she has to do in Amsterdam is walk from her arrival gate to her departure gate. Note that her Portland-Amsterdam flight will be operated by Delta.

I am travelling from Houston TX to London city airport via Amsterdam schipol, my flight is with klm throughout my journey. Do I need to first clear passport control on AMS before boarding the flight to LCY? I'm aware my bags are safe from USA to U.K. I'm just confused if I would be going thru passport control first in AMS before boarding my flight.
Since you are not entering the Schengen Area you do not go through passport control in Amsterdam.
I arrive into AMS by KLM from Chicago at 06.45 and have an onward connection on Jet airways to Mumbai at 11.25 hrs. As I am waitlisted for an upgrade, I have been advised to go to the Jet Airways transfer desk to collect my boarding pass for the Mumbai flight. (The entire itenerary in on a Jet airways ticket). Where do I go once I exit the aircraft at AMS?
Look at the monitors for your departure gate. The Jet Airways transfer desk will be near the gate.
On 26 June, we will arrive at AMS from IAD on United 946, scheduled to arrive at 7:15. We have booked KLM 1185, scheduled to depart at 8:25. We will have no checked baggage. Can we learn the concourses and gates? Is this a do-able connection?
You won't know your gates until the day of your flight. You have a chance if you check in for your KLM flight online before you leave the US.
We will be doing that. We also run well! Thank you.
I will be arriving in AMS via Jet airways at 7:55 AM from YYZ with 1 checked bag. My connection flight to GOT leaves at 9:50 AM with KLM. Both flights were booked with one ticket. Is this going to be enough time to make the connection? and also would I have to go through security? Also would I have to claim my luggage at AMS and re check it in at KLM?
Yes, that should be enough time. You will not have to go through security. Just Schengen Entry passport control and to your departure gate.
