My daughter is flying to Luxembourg through Amsterdam. She has a 1:45 transfer time in Amsterdam for her flight to Luxembourg and a 1:05 for her return. I understand for KLM CityHopper flights (from Amsterdam to/from Luxembourg) she will need to take a bus from the terminal to the plane. Will she have enough time to make her transfers?
That should be enough time on the way there and barely enough on the way back.
Thank you very much for your advice and expertise.
My understanding is the passport check takes place at AMS. How much time would that take. First time to Europe and any helpful advice appreciated. We don't frequently travel and trying to avoid Global Entry or Pre
Global Entry and PreCheck don't do anything for you in Europe. You'll want at least an hour for your transfer in Amsterdam. Preferably a bit more.
I am flying Sept 30 from NCE, France to MPLS connecting through AMS. The NCE flight lands at 2:20, the MPLS flight departs 3:10. Both flights are Delta. I have a US passport. Do I have enough time to make the departing flight?
That is just enough time if the first flight is on-time. Note that the first flight will be operated by Air France or KLM, not Delta.
I am arriving to AMS from U.S. at 7:15 AM on a United flight, transferring on a separate ticket to a KLM flight flying AMS-Madrid at 9:30AM. I am planning on not checking any bags since there won't be time for me to collect luggage. Do you think there will be time to make this connection including the passport customs checkpoint? Will I need to go through security again anyways?
Yes, that should be enough time. If you are able to check in online for your KLM flight then all you have to do in Amsterdam is go through Schengen Entry passport control and to your departure gate.
