I am travelling on KLM from Malaysia (KUL) to Stockholm (ARN) via Amsterdam. The transfer time is 50 minutes in AMS - is this sufficient time? Thank you.

It's possible but doesn't leave any time to spare for delays.

Thanks very much for the quick response!

One hour is enough time? What are the steps I need to go through Thank you

You will have to go through Security, US Security questions, and to your departure gate. You should have enough time.

I am returning to the US from Edinburgh via Amsterdam, and I only have 1.5 hour layover between AMS and the US. Is that enough time to go through security, etc.?

Yes, that is enough time. The US Security questions is typically very brief.

  • 1 hour layover- enough time?

I am thinking about a flight that gives only a 1 hour layover in AMS, coming from SFO and going to JRO. Will that be enough time? There is only 1 flight a day, would I automatically be added to the flight the next day if the inbound flight from SFO is delayed and I miss it? Thanks!

Yes, that is enough time as long as your flight from SFO is anywhere close to on-time. Yes, if you miss your connection you will be booked on the next day's flight to Johannesburg.

  • MAN -> AMS -> VIE (short connection at AMS)

I'll fly from Manchester, UK to Vienna, Austria via Amsterdam (Schiphol). My arrival at AMS is 19:45 & the departure to VIE is at 20:35. As I'm coming from UK (non-schengen) into Schengen w/ Japanese passport that is non-EU/UK/Swiss. So I'll need to get through the passport control. I'm aware that I can dash over to 'short connection' lane. Yet, would I make it? I think it'd arrive at D-concourse (downstairs?) & depart from D-concourse (upstairs?)

    That should be enough time.

If I check my bag in Los Angeles for a Warsaw destination, will I have to take it through customs in AMS and recheck to WAW? Thanks!

If your bag is checked to WAW then you won't see it again until you get to Warsaw, even though you have to go through passport control in Amsterdam.

I connect in AMS from Zagreb to MSP with a 70 minute layover. Will this be enough time?

That should be just enough time. you will have to go through US Security questions and to your departure gate.

    Thank you!

What customs and security will I have to go through to transfer from a flight from Canada going to London with a UK passport?

You don't have to go through any customs or security. You just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Thanks, that is helpful in planning my trip

I have a connection time of 50 mintues from BHX (Birmingham, UK) going to ORD (Chicago O'Hare) on the same ticket, Delta have assured me that it is enough time. I'm just a little concerned after the attacks in Belgium. Should i be?

You will have to go through US Security questions and to your departure gate. It is certainly possible but is very tight.

Hi, I am flying into AMS from ORD (O'hare Chicago). I have only 50 minutes before my next flight to STR (Stuttgart). Will I have enough time to get to my flight? Will I have to go through customs and baggage claim in Amsterdam?

You will go through passport control but don't have to do anything with your baggage. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

  • Connecting at AMS from USA

Im arriving from USA to transfer to another flight to Cork, Ireland. I have 2 hrs between flights. Will this be adequate time. Im not sure if I have to clear any customs procedure to transfer.

2 hours should be plenty of time. Since you are not entering the Schengen Area you will not go through passport control in Amsterdam.

Arriving at AMS on Klm from Helsnki at 0835 then transferring to Delta AMS to SLC at 0950. Is that enough time? Have boarding pass and checked luggage. Do I go through passport control and what pies do those airlines use? Thank you.

You will go through Schengen Exit passport control and US Security questions. You should have enough time. You will probably arrive in B or C and depart from D, E, or G, but KLM uses basically the whole airport.
