We fly into Amsterdam airport from Newcastle and then onward to Bali via Singapore. We only have a 1 hour stop is this sufficient time, and which terminal etc will it be. Thank you.

Amsterdam only has one terminal. It is enough time if both tickets are on the same reservation. If separate reservations it is not enough time.

Thank you. We are flying all the way with KLM from Newcastle to Bali. I thought Amsterdam airport had sort of 3 legs. Will KLM arrive and depart from the same leg, just wondering.

Since both flights are non-schengen they should be fairly close to each other. You will probably be bussed to the terminal from your Newcastle flight.

Thank you again. Have you any idea which "concourse" B C D E f or G. just for reference.

You will go through Schengen passport control and security in Amsterdam. You do not have to do anything with your bags. You have plenty of time.

Comming to Amsterdan from Norway with Klm and gong direkt to Antalya with Pegasus. Do I have to pick up bags and go to Pegasus counter or can I go direkt to Pegasus boarding gate?

You will have to pick up your bags and transfer them to the Pegasus counter, then go through security and schengen exit passport control.

My inlaws will be flying klm/delta from Moscow to Portland via AMS with a 2h40m layover, one is this enough time and second what security measures will they encounter transferring between flights?

Yes, that should be plenty of time. They will go through regular security and then US departure security ("D1") when they make their transfer in Amsterdam. However, since they are not entering the Schengen Area they won't go through passport control or have to do anything with their luggage.

Hello. I am Georgian citizen flying from Istanbul to Buenos Aires. I have 4 hour Layover in Amsterdam. I fly to Amsterdam on Pegasus Airlines and then on KLM to Buenos Aires. WilL I have to go through passport control? Do I need Schengen Visa? Tickets were purchased in one order and I receive ams-buen aires boarding pass in Istanbul or in Amsterdam airport?

Since Pegasus and KLM have a codeshare you should recieve both boarding passes in Istanbul. You need a Dutch Airport Transit Visa.

Are you sure that I need transit visa? As I have read, Georgia citizens don't need any transit visa in Netherlands during transit. Here is the list of countries As I read if you travel from non Schengen country to non Schengen country, you do not have to go through passport control in AMS airport

You are correct then, sorry about that. If you don't have to claim your bags you won't need to go through passport control and won't need a transit visa.

I will be Arriving from Antalya, Turkey at 9.40 am on Sun Express. I need to then catch a KLM flight to Vancouver Canada at 1.05 pm; is this possible ? Will I need to go and collect my bags and go through customs and then re-enter security ? I am an Australian citizen and have been living in Turkey for 2 months so have not overstayed my Schengen visa time.

Yes, that should be possible. Turkey is not in the Schengen Area and as an Australian you do not need a visa to transit the Schengen Area. Yes, you will have to go through passport control, claim your bags, take them to the KLM check-in counter and re-check them.

We have a 1 hour layover in Amsterdam. We are flying Delta to Amsterdam then KLM to Rome. Is 1 hour sufficient to go through Passport Control and get to our next gate, being it is a different Airline?

Yes, that should be enough time as long as your flight from Portland is on-time.

  • Enough connection time to pass through security and get to gate?

I am travelling from Bucharest to San Francisco. Arriving in Amsterdam at 9:00 on flight from Bucharest. Flight to San Francisco departs at 9:50, but gate closes 15 minutes earlier, so I only have 35 minutes available. Will that be enough?

Yes, that should be barely enough time assuming your flight from Bucharest is on-time.

We are connecting from a Delta flight from Seattle to Amsterdam to a Delta flight to Budapest with a two-hour layover. Is that plenty of time to make the connecting flight and do we have to go through customs?

You will go through Schengen Passport Control in Amsterdam. You should have enough time.

  • 50min. layover in Schiphol travelling ATH-AMS=ATL

Hello IFLY , i'm travelling from Athens,GR to Atlanta,US through Amsterdam,NL and have a 50min transfer time in AMS.I bought a signle ticket and both flights are KLM. Is thjat enough time??As i have read below i have to go through passport control and Security.Does this happen at the departuring gate??....Do i have to go through a CBP/US border control secutiry checkpoint/interview?? Do i have to pick up my laggage and check thjem again in Schiphol? Thank you in advance

You do not have to go do anything with your baggage. The passport control is just Schengen exit - they just scan it, stamp it, and off you go. The security is not administered by CBP or border control. It is private security that just asks you a few questions about why you were in the Schengen Area and how long you were there and if there were any other countries you visited while you were abroad (if you're a US Citizen) and if you're not a US Citizen they mainly just ask about your bags and why you're traveling the the US.

I am traveling to Bristol via Amsterdam on Delta And KLM Cityhopper, I have 1 hour between flights. Is this going to be enough time for the transfer?

That should be enough time. Since you won't be entering the Schengen area you won't have to go through passport control.

  • ATL - AMS - ROME
    Sep 2, 2015
I am flying into AMS in late October from ATL (US) and have a connecting flight to Rome. The layover is 55 minutes (if all is on time). Will this be enough to make connection with the customs process? Thanks!

That should be enough time. You just have to go through passport control, not "customs".

I'm travel from Canada connecting at AMS to Cape Town and my layover is 1.50 hr there and 1.25 coming back. Are the arrival and departure gates close enough to make this?

Yes, that should be enough time. Since you won't be entering Schengen you won't have to go through passport control.
