1. Arrivals are on level 1, where you need to go through Dutch Immigration /Customs clearance (non-Schengen procedure) - this can take from 30 mins to an hour, depending on season and time of day. Departures 1 uses the B & D gates; Departures 2 uses the E gates; Departure 3 uses F, G, H & M gates. Your stated time is doable.

On arrival at Amsterdam Airport you need to go through passport control before connecting to your Aegean (code A3) flight. Since I don't have your destination or flight number, I suggest you open http://www.schiphol.nl/Travellers/FlightInformation/Departures.htm - add Destination, flight number and airline, hit "search flight" and then click on "Details" at the A3[flight number] & it will show you gate. Your ticket and on arrival at AMS the overhead screens will also give you details. You have enough time for transfer.

1. My SFO search for both flights for today & tomorrow did not come up with your flight numbers. 2. As an international arrival at SFO, you need to go through passport check, pick up your bags, go through customs clearance and then re-check-in your bags. This may take 40-55 mins, particularly in summer. Thereafter, you can proceed to Terminal 1 (B gates 20-36), but need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate. The Red Line of the AirTrain connects all terminals. I am not confident that 50 mins is enough time for you and the kids to transfer. It does not leave any time for possible flight delay, let alone transfer to T1.

At AMS I see a Delta 8:10 arrival from Boston at "Hall 2" - which may refer to Arrivals area 2; and a Munich departure at B36. You need to open www.ifly.com/ams, then click on QUICK LINKS' "Terminal Map", scroll down to text re Arrival& Departure levels. Your time is extremely tight as you need to go through immigration /customs clearance procedure first, which can take up to an hour at this time of the year - not to mention flight delay and connection.

The Lounge 1 area stairs lead to gates D59-D87, with airline lounge 25 and other amenities, including first aid; the Lounge 2 area stairs lead to airline lounges 40-52 and amenities, and the Lounge 3 area stairs lead up to airline lounges 40-52 and other amenities, including a shower. 4. Passengers flying with BMIbaby, Flybe, EasyJet, Jet-2 or Air Berlin most likely depart from Gates H or M - check your boarding pass. Once the flight info screens indicate 'boarding' (40 mins prior to departure), you can proceed to your gate. The pier has no restaurants, bars or shops. 5. Flight Transfers: At transfer kiosks you can check connecting flight information or book a new fight. Transfer desks T2 & T3 are located in Lounge 1; desks T4 & T5 at D gate area; desk T6 at E gate area & desk T9 at G gate area.

While I cannot give you the gate numbers for your arrival and departure (your ticket may indicate it), note that AMS Airport has on level 1 arrivals and level 2 departures. Since you have an EU passport, you will only have to go through passport check at arrivals.
