We are arriving from Budapest on Czech Airlines 1:35 and leaving on KLM to Boston at 2:45pm. We can walk briskly but how easy is it to find the security area and is it a quick process to go through? Self serve kiosks? Can we cut the line if our first flight is late?
Firstly, Czech does not fly from Budapest to Amsterdam. Are you connecting in Prague first or is your flight actually on Malev or KLM? Secondly, you will first go through Schengen Exit Passport Control, then go the the gate that is on the monitors, this isn't actually a gate but a place where they will ask you some security questions. After you complete that they will tell you your real gate and stamp your boarding pass and you will go to your real gate.
Yes you are right . The flight from Budapest is Delta operated by KLM then the next flight to BOS is via Delta. So do we have enough of a layover?
Yes, that is enough time.
Flying from OTP to SLC and having 1 hr time connection in AMS. Is it enuogh time?
Yes, all you have to do is go through security, US Security questions, and to your departure gate.
I have a KLM flight from Delhi to Belfast City airport via amsterdam. Lay over in amsterdam of 4 Hr 55 min. will my immigration security check will be done in AMS before my AMS to Belfast flight, or on arrival at Belfast?
DEL-AMS flight is KLM and AMS-BHD flight is KLM City hopper flight, so that means i will get my baggage upon arrival in BHD?
Hello im a Cameroonian leaving Shanghai airport going to Ecuador, but i need to change the plane at Amsterdam, i dont know if i will have to get a transit visa for Amsterdam , since i will not be leaving the airport and the layover time is 4 hours, please i need a kind response..Thanks you all very much
Cameroonians do not need a transit visa for sterile transfers of the EU.
I'm looking to catch a Vueling flight from Barcelona to AMS that lands at 6.35pm, and then catch a KLM flight to Seoul at 9.20pm. Will 2 hours and 45 mins be enough time to make the connection? I will need to collect luggage and re-check in as they are separate flights. Thanks for any help!
That should be enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Hello, were you able to make the connection? Was it enought time? I have a similar trip coming. Your advise, would really come in handy.
I am travelling from Manchester to Warsaw via Schipol and have a 90 minute transfer time. Is this is enough time as my wife has an injured knee and can't walk too fast
Yes, that should be enough time if your flight from Manchester is on-time.
I am taking the flight from Stuttgart to Amsterdam connecting there to Atlanta. All is booked through Delta. I was wondering if 60 min will be enough to catch the connecting flight
Yes, that is enough time. You have to go through Schengen Exit passport control and US Security questions in Amsterdam.
Thank you
I will be flying from the US to Copenhagen, with a short transfer/layover in Amsterdam. What security/passport control will I need to go through in AMS since it and Denmark are both Schengen countries? I read something that says I need to make sure my passport gets stamped because I'm entering a Schengen area and I watched a video from Schiphol airport that said I will not need to go through security again and can just proceed to my next flight because they accept the US's level of security but it seems like every site says something different. Thanks!
You will go through passport control in Amsterdam, they will stamp your passport there. Yes, because you are coming from the US you will not have to go through security.
Arriving into FRA on Lufthansa from YVR (Vancouver, Canada). Will have checked bags. Do I need to clear EU immigration & customs and do I need to retrieve my checked bags before going through customs / immigration?

Will be flying to Brussels on Brussels Airline (SN) flight going to Edinburgh (EDI) as the final destination.
Did you mean to ask this on the Amsterdam airport page? Is your route YVR-FRA-BRU-EDI? If so then you will go through passport control in Frankfurt but if all flights are on the same reservation you will not claim and re-check your bags.
Thanks - meant to post on FRA page. Thanks for figuring it out.
We will be arriving around 0830 on Delta and will be connecting on Jet Airways departing at 1120, we will have checked bag that will need to be claimed and rechecked with Jet Airways, what are the chances of making the Jet Airways FLT? The checked luggage can not be transferred over with tickets we have.
This connection will take place in AMS.
I think that is enough time as long as the Delta flight arrives on-time and everything goes smoothly.
Thanks ZAP, You are awesome. Happy holidays to you and your team.

Arriving AMS on a Delta flight form BOS. Travelling on to Edinburgh on KLM Cityhopper flight. Will have checked baggage. What customs/immigration do I clear and do I have to retrieve checked bags to do this? What gate(s) do the Cityhopper flights depart from?
All you have to do in Amsterdam is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate since you are not entering the Schengen Area.
Thanks very much for this!
