incoming on Delta from Seattle (Delta metal), departing to Kenya (KLM metal). 70 minute scheduled connection time in January. Business class. Time enough to make connection or different terminals? Thx.

That's more than plenty if your flight is on time. There is only one terminal in Amsterdam.

Yes. But a long walk between concourses and I read that the at-the-gate security is gone, so that means that there's security elsewhere and probably more central.

Since you're coming from the USA you do not have to go through additional security.

    OK. Sounds good.

I am trying to connect with someone in the airport during our layovers. We are on completely different flights, airlines, destinations. Is it possible to pass between terminals? I am on Scandinavian Air Berlin to Amsterdam. She is on KLM Delhi to Amsterdam. Thank You

    Amsterdam only has one terminal

Hello, I purchased a single ticket from MSP to DEL with a two hour layover. I do not have a transit Schengen visa. Is that a problem? For some reason my flight shows that my incoming flight arrives at Terminal 2 and the connecting flight to Delhi India leaves from Terminal 3. I'm in the flight right now, and freaking out. Please help.

Amsterdam only has one terminal. You should be fine.

Hi, I am travelling from Cork, Ireland to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and will have 1 hour 5 min layover at AMS. Can I make it on time to the departure gate? Both airlines are KLM

Yes, that should be plenty of time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Am flying from Nigeria to london heathrow on KLM. I have a lay over of 60 minutes. I was wondering if there will be enough time to pick up my lugages and check in to my KLM connecting flight to London.

If both tickets are on KLM on the same reservation you do not have to pick up your luggage in Amsterdam. You will just have to go through security and to your departure gate.

  • Connecting Flight - 50 minutes!

We will land in AMS from Edinburgh at 0825 (KLM flight) and depart AMS for Atlanta at 0920 (KLM flight). Will we have to go through security / passport control and is 55 minutes enough time? Thanks

You will have to go through the US security questions (very brief). You should have enough time.

    Thank you :)

I have a flight from Venice to Amsterdam then a flight from AMS to SEA and I land in AMS at 1:40 pm and my connecting flight is at 2:30 pm. Is 50 mins enough time?

Yes, that should be enough time.

Hi, I am flying from Paris CDG to Amsterdam AMS then to Calgary, Canada YYC. Only have 55 minutes layover time in AMS, am I able to make it? Thanks in advance!

That should be plenty of time. All you will have to do in AMS is go through Schengen exit passport control and go to your departure gate.

Is 1 hour enough for transfer to US via Schiphol? Bags are checked.

Where are you flying into AMS from? Are both tickets on the same reservation?

From Stockholm. Yes tickets are on the same reservation.

Then, yes, that should be plenty of time. You will just have to go through Schengen Exit Passport Control and US Security questions in Amsterdam, both of which are very short processes.

We are travelling on separate tickets from London to AMS (BA) to Hoi chi Minh.( Malaysian) We have 2hrs 30mins to get our connection will this be long enough. Will we go through immigration/check in or only pick up and check in luggage?

Since you purchased separate tickets you will have to go through Schengen passport control, claim your bags, re-check it, and then go through Schengen exit passport control and security. You should have just enough time.

  • Connecting from LHR to IAH

Is 90 minutes enough time to connect in AMS from an easyJet fight from LGW to a United flight to IAH?

Without checked bags that should be enough time. With checked bags that will be difficult.

I am a staff Airline...i use the stand by ticket, which is cant check through the baggage to my destination...i have to fly from BKK to AMS and i have to connect the flight to TRD after..,,All flights are with KLM...I have time only 2 hours to connect the that 2 hours enough time for get the baggages in AMS airport ? Is it enough time for go throug immigration ? And is it enough time to check in with KLM at the counter again ??? Bcos I read some information, they said minimum time to get the bag is 40mins...and check in of KLM for all flight is close 1 hours before the flight..,so that mean i hv only 20 mins just for in case..and also this is the first time for me to go to AMS airport which is i heard its worried that i wont hv enough time....thank u so much x

Whenever traveling standby you should only bring a carry-on. If you do that then you should have no problem.

  • 1.30h for changing from klm to ua, is that enough time?
    Jan 10, 2015
I am flying from Humberside to schipol on klm and from there to Huston on united, in between flights I have 1.30h, will this be enough time to check in? I have only hand baggage.

That should be enough time. Since you don't have checked luggage you should be able to get your United boarding pass at the transfer desk without having to exit the secure area.

will this be ok even if I bought the tickets separate? thank you

  • Transit - KLM & Iceland Air ?
    Oct 18, 2015
I'm flying in via KLM from Africa and aim to take Icelandair to Canada the next day. I have small kids and thus prefer to stay at a hotel in Transit zone (like Mercure) and rest for a day. I have a visa for my destination (Canada) and so ordinarily wont require a transit visa.... Would I be able to pick our baggage, lodge and check in to next flight, all within the transit zone of the airport?

You can't pickup your baggage. So pack some clothes for your overnight in your carry on.

Ok. But would KLM transfer my baggage to Icelandair considering that they are totally different flights / tickets ?

You should have mentioned you purchased two separate tickets. You will have to exit the transit zone to get your baggage and therefore will need a transit visa. Buying separate tickets as you did means you need a transit visa.

You will almost definitely need a visa, as there is an intra-Schengen segment (Amsterdam to Reykjavik) involved.

  • Flight change-USA to entebbee via AMS
    Dec 30, 2015
Will I have a enough time to change from Delta(arrival) and leave on KLM 65 minutes later headed to Entebee, Uganda?

Yes, that should be enough time. Since you are not entering the Schengen Area you just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate and go through security.
