I will be arriving in AMS via Jet airways at 7:55 AM from YYZ with 1 checked bag. My connection flight to GOT leaves at 9:50 AM with KLM. Both flights were booked with one ticket. Is this going to be enough time to make the connection? and also would I have to go through security? Also would I have to claim my luggage at AMS and re check it in at KLM?
Yes, that should be enough time. You will not have to go through security. Just Schengen Entry passport control and to your departure gate.
my wife returning to us /green card/permanent resident/flying from Moscow to Amsterdam to minneaplois/.one booking what does she need to do in Amsterdam ?has 4 hour layover// thank you
All she has to do in Amsterdam is go through security, then go to the indicated gate where there will be some US Security questions and then she will go to the actual gate that they tell her. She has plenty of time.
Traveling from U.S. changing planes in Amsterdam to Edinburgh. Entire flight booked through Delta. Delta told me I need to claim my bags in AMS, go through customs, & a KLM representative would be on the other side to check my bag to EDI. I asked about Non schengen/scone gen, and the rep said he never heard of it. Help! What do I REALLY do?
You do not have to do anything with your bags in Amsterdam. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Delta rep really has no clue what she's talking about.
Hello, I arrive in AMS at 8am on British airways and have a connection flight at 10:15 am on KLM. These tickets were booked seperate so I'm concerned if I will have enough time with checked bags to get to my flight. Any help would be great. Thanks
You will have to go through Schengen Entry passport control, claim your bags, re-check them with KLM, go through security and possibly Schengen Exit passport control (depending on where you're flying with KLM). That is a difficult connection.
I am flying into AMS from dallas and my return flight arrives at AMS from Prague. Both connections have the same amount of time between flights 2hr20min. Think it can be done ?
We have been told by Air Canada that one hour is more than enough time from arrival to departure. Looking at the map it seems the concourses may be far apart. We are arriving with Air Canada at 10:15 and departing with Croatia at 11;20. Is this connection possible? Thank you so much.
Yes, it should be possible. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate since you are not entering the Schengen Area.
We are arriving on Delta from SEA and heading to HEL with a plane change in AMS. We are ticketed through to HEL as a Delta flight, although I know that the actual operator is KLM for the AMS to HEL segment. As scheduled, we have an hour and 15 minutes for ground time between flights. If we check a bag, will it be routed through, or will we have to pick it up and recheck onto the second flight? Would we be more likely to make the connection if we tried to do it as carry on only?
You don't have to do anything with your bags in Amsterdam. You have enough time.
