BUSES TO CITY
Schiphol Sternet
Description: Most of these connections are maintained by the Schiphol Sternet network. These lines operate with high frequency from early in the morning until late in the evening. Some lines also include a night service. Travel times to and from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol seldom exceed half an hour. Passengers on all lines embark and disembark at Schiphol Plaza (directly in front of the Arrival and Departure Halls). In addition to the connections listed in the overview below, there are also a limited number of special rush-hour lines specifically for commuters.

BUSES TO SURROUNDING AREA
Zuidtangent express
Service Area: The Zuidtangent express bus service runs two lines: Line 300: Haarlem, Vijfhuizen, Hoofddorp, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Amstelveen, Ouderkerk, Amsterdam Zuidoost and vice versa (at least six times hourly, with one service per hour at night). Line 310: Nieuw Vennep, Hoofddorp, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Amsterdam Buitenveldert and vice versa (at least twice hourly, four times hourly to/from Nieuw Vennep).

Notes: In addition to the Zuidtangent express bus service, Sternet also offers another rapid bus connection in the Schiphol region: Interliner. The Interliner 370 line runs between Alphen a/d Rijn, Leimuiden, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Amsterdam Zuid and Amsterdam Centre (Leidseplein).

TRAIN STATION
Description: The Schiphol train station is directly below the airport. You can pick up a free baggage cart at the platform. Walk straight to the departure or arrival hall via Schiphol Plaza.

Notes: At the Schiphol Railway Station there is a lift to take you to/from the platform to the airport. Call the Dutch Railways (Nederlandse Spoorwegen) if you need assistance at the railways stations of departure and arrival at + 31 (0)30 235 7822.

TRAIN TO CITY
Description: Domestic travel train tickets are available from the yellow ticket machines near the platforms at Schiphol Plaza. Tickets (for domestic and international travel) are also available from the ticket offices, which are situated close to the red/white-checked cube at Schiphol Plaza. Staff at the ticket offices will assist you with train departure information. You can also purchase train tickets in advance by either buying the ticket(s) from a ticket machine or by asking for a dateless ticket(s) at one of the NS-service desks, for one-way or round-trip ticket(s). On day of departure, stamp your ticket at a machine on one of the platforms. From many stations, you can travel to the very heart of Schiphol either directly or with one change-over. Important railway hubs include Amsterdam Sloterdijk and Duivendrecht. The trains arrive atthese stations at two levels. If you have to change at one of these stations, your connecting train will depart from another level to the one on which you arrived. The timetables make allowance for this.

TRAINS TO SURROUNDING AREA
Description: If you are departing or arriving at night or in the early morning, use the NS night network.

Service Area: The night trains run once an hour between Utrecht CS - Amsterdam CS - Schiphol - Leiden CS - Den Haag CS - Delft and Rotterdam CS and vice versa.
