Ankara Esenboga ESB Airport Overview

Ankara Esenboga International Airport ESB is serving Turkey's capital city Ankara, whose 4,000-year history is well worth exploring, including Anitkabir (Ataturk's Mausoleum), Ankara & Kalecik Castles, Suluhan, Cengel and Safran Inn, Kocatepe Mosque and Karasabey Turkish Bath, among many others.

The Airport is located in the town of Esenboga, and is 27 km northeast of the capital city of Ankara, in easternTurkey.

With two long runways and an estimated  9.2 million passengers in 2012, Ankara Esenboga Airport is served by both domestic and international airlines offering direct scheduled and seasonal flights to countless European and Middle Eastern destinations, with connections to all points of the globe.

The passenger terminal complex at Ankara Esenboga Airport consists of a Domestic and an  International Terminal. (For more information, please refer to 'Terminal Map' page.)  NOTE: It also has a General Aviation Terminal.
 
Parking Options at Ankara Esenboga Airport: 
The multi-story carpark across from the passenger terminal has a capacity for 4,069 vehicles.
The open parking lot is 50 meters from the arrivals level of the terminals.
The VIP carpark is across from the VIP terminal.
Valet service is in front of domestic & international entrance door on the departure level, and in front of the domestic & international exit doors of the arrivals level, as well as in front of Turkish Airlines CIP Lounge Building.

Rental car desks at the international terminal are for Opal, Avias & Eco, and at the domestic terminal for National, Sixt, Europcar, Hertz, Avis & Budget.

To get from the Airport to your destination, you can rent a car, take a metered  taxi or a bus:  
1. Havas shuttle buses to the city leave according to flight schedule, make stops at Cubuk, Pursaklar, Haskoy, Kecioren, Etlik & Havas City Terminal, take about 50 minutes & cost 11 TRY.
2. Passengers wishing to connect with city buses should ask for the Ankara City Terminus (ASTI). 
3. To get from the City to the Airport use the Havas City Center Head Office: Ulus, B Gate, 19 May Stadium.  Buses leave from city center every half hour, 3:30am-9pm, other times according to flight schedule.
4. Public Bus 442 stops at both  Domestic & International Terminals - at their arrivals level, in front of the passenger exit door.
