Antalya Havalimani AYT Airport Overview
Antalya Havalimani Airport AYT serves Turkey's primary vacation destinations and has seen tremendous growth - between 2002 and 2010 the yearly passenger count has more than doubled - due to the service of low-cost airlines & seasonal charters. (Gazipasa Airport, located between Anamur and Alanya, 100 km to the east of Antalya Airport, has recently been opened and should relieve the air traffic.)
Antalya Airport received in 2011 its 'Best Airport in Europe' award (among airports 10-25 million passengers a year.)
The Airport is located 13 km northeast of the city center of Antalya, in Turkey, on the Mediterranean coast. When exiting the main road between Antalya and Belek, you pass the IC Hotel; after the curve you will pass the International Terminal 1; next to it is the Domestic terminal, with a separate small CIP terminal right next to it; the International Terminal 2 is at the end of that road.
With three long runways and close to 25 million passengers in 2012, Antalya Airport is served by a myriad of domestic, international, regular & low-cost Airlines offer direct and connecting flights to all points of the globe. Seasonal charters also serve the Airport.
The on-Airport IC Hotel offers conference facilities.
