Security at Athens Ben Epps AHN Airport Screening Checkpoint: Only ticketed passengers are allowed beyond the screening checkpoint. If a medical or parental need to accompany a ticketed passenger occurs, please check with your airline to determine how that may be possible. All laptops must be removed from their case and x-rayed separately. Be prepared to remove all metal items (change, foil wrapped gum/candy, keys, cell phones, wallets containing credit cards, etc.) from your pockets to be scanned. To speed up the process, these items should previously be placed in your purse, briefcase or bag to be scanned by the x-ray machine. Limit metal objects worn on person. You may be asked to drink any beverage that is carried through the checkpoint. AT THE GATE:
Be prepared to again present a valid photo identification card along with a boarding pass. Some travelers and their bags will be required to participate in additional screening.
Remember - At all times: DO NOT LEAVE BAGS UNATTENDED.
REPORT ANY UNATTENDED ITEMS IN THE AIRPORT OR AIRCRAFT TO THE NEAREST AIRPORT OR AIRLINE EMPLOYEE.
DO NOT CARRY ANYTHING ONBOARD THE AIRCRAFT FOR A PERSON UNKNOWN TO YOU.
