At present, there is only one passenger terminal at Bahrain International Airport (a second one - Terminal 2 - is under construction, scheduled to open in 2012).  At  Arrivals, Immigration facilities and streamlined processing enable large numbers of visitors (individuals or groups) to be handled without delay.

Services and amenities inside the terminal:
Departures and Arrivals concourses house the internationally-acclaimed "Bahrain Duty Free" shops, recognized as one of the finest airport shopping complexes in the world.
Banking facilities include: National Bank of Bahrain, Ahli United Bank & Bahrain Financing Co., as well as Travelex (5 booths) and ATM cash machines.
The departures & arrivals level have both male & female prayer rooms.

Lounges in the terminal:
At present there are three lounges available  Dilmun and Gulf Air lounges are on Level 3, near gate 16, while Cathay Pacific lounge is near gate 15.
First-class and business-class lounges received a unique check-in lounge that provides special services for its clientele, with discrete check-in and immigration facilities, as well as direct access to the Departure Lounge.
