Main Terminal / Concourses at Basel Freiburg EAP Airport
The 5-level passenger terminal at EuroAirport is divided into Arrivals & Departures and Schengen & non-Schengen zones.
On the Departure level in the boarding area (finger dock): two new passport control points have been created for the Swiss border guards and the French airport police before entry to the non-Schengen zone. While work in the first half of the departures hall has been completed, the second half - consisting of an opening into Hall 4 & upgradeof entire Swiss Departures Hall, is taking plce until mid-March 2012.
On the Arrival level two new doors were added, separating arriving Schengen/non-Schengen passengers, and two new passport control points for the Swiss border guards and the French airport police were established before baggage collection on arrival. On both Departure/Arrival levels added control areas let other passengers proceed unrestricted, should individual questioning become necessary. (France, Switzerland & Germany are Schengen States.)
On level 3: tour operator check-in & check-in counters; and
On Level 4: Duty-Free shops, Aviators Lounge & security check, and the outsize baggage security control (recently renovated).
The passenger terminal is open 4:30am-midnight. The information desk on level 2 opens 5:30am. You can contact the information desk by phone and fax (fax listing shows only the last 4 digits) from the following areas/countries:

Services and Amenities in the PassengerTerminal include: Internet access, food & drink establishments, as well as shops and duty-free shops in both pre- and post-security areas.
Currency Exchange is available at International Arrivals Hall, International Departures and level 3 Departures pre-security, French & Swiss.
Cash machines from Credit Mutuel are at Level 2 Arrival, Level 3, Departure, Swiss & French.
You can find Kids Corner on every level.
PostFinance machine is on level 2 Arrival, Swiss.
A coin dispenser is on level 2, Arrival, Swiss & French.
Internet terminals are located in pre-security (level 2 Arrival, Swiss & French, and level 3 Departure, French; and at post-security at Departure South Gates and Finger Dock. Fee-based Wi-Fi access is available in all busy public places of the passenger terminal. A photocopier is on Level 3 Departure, French.
The Swiss Federal Railway counter is located on level 2, Arrival, Swiss. Hotel information is located on level 2, Arrival, Swiss & French.
Rental car counters for Avis, Europcar, Hertz, National & Sixt are located at Hall1, level 2, French; and Hall 4, level 2, Swiss.
