Beijing Capital Airport (PEK) Baggage and Security
Baggage Carts / Skycap at Beijing Capital PEK Airport
Baggage carts are free and are available in the exit and entry halls of the terminals.
Skycaps/Porters are available to all passengers at domestic and international departure halls on 2d floor, and the arrival hall in front of the stairs on the first floor and the area between Gates 2 and 8. They can load baggage onto hand carts and/or accompany passenger(s) with special needs up to boarding.
The standard fee is 10 yuan for each hand cart, and 50 yuan for the entire route through the terminal.
Porter Service involves: moving luggage from the departure hall on the second floor to the checking counter until passengers finish check-in procedures.
Service for the entire journey through the Airport encompasses: helping passengers move luggage and go through check-in procedures, and guiding passengers through security inspection, helping with required transit forms and going through customs, as well as accompanying passengers to scheduled boarding gate.

Security at Beijing Capital PEK Airport
Below are the three general Security stages to observe between the time of Terminal entry and boarding the airplane:
1. If you have Baggage to be checked in:
Go to the check-in counter with your ticket and valid passport, check in your luggage and obtain a boarding pass. Proceed to the counter marked “check-in without baggage”.
2. Security Check
Put all carry-on items, including items in your pockets, into the containers provided; have your boarding pass, airline ticket and passport (open with your photo visible) ready to present to the security personnel. Put your container with your personal items on the conveyor to be X-rayed and walk through the detection passage. Then collect your personal items and proceed to the departure lounge.
3. Waiting and Boarding
After you pass the Security Check, you can wait for your flight at the boarding gate indicated on your boarding pass. The boarding procedure will begin 30 minutes prior to departure. Please pay close attention to the broadcasting. The boarding pass needs to be presented while boarding, please prepare it in advance.
