BHD Airport Overview
George Best Belfast City Airport BHD is a small airport in Northern Ireland, known to be one of the most environmentally-conscious airports. It takes its responsibility seriously by regulating the four key factors--water, noise, air, and waste--in an effort to keep the surrounding countryside not only habitable, but also lovely.
Located only two miles outside the city of Belfast, the airport offers flights within the United Kingdom, hosting only a few airlines, including British Airways, which serve Ireland and the British mainland, and a few charter airlines with seasonal destinations.
Food and drink establishments, as well as retail stores offer their services within the terminal. A fully-staffed Conference Suite is located on the first floor, for use by the local business community, as well as by the business traveler.

The airport is located on the A2, Sydenham bypass road between Belfast and Holywood, on the southern shore of Belfast Lough. Those approaching Belfast on the M1 or M2, should follow the signs to Belfast City Airport, leading to the A2 via the M3.
