    Considered one of the busiest airports in Latin America, Mexico City International Benito Juarez Airport MEX (short "AICM") is the nation’s commercial flight gateway. Mexico City International Airport is by far the largest airport in Latin America, catering to over 20 million passengers per year. It is also the first Latin American airport to support the new A380 double-decker jumbo jet.

    The Metropolitan Airport Project, an undertaking to expand and modernize the airport, is planned to consolidate MEX airport as the most important airport in Latin America.

    LOST AND FOUND AT MEX AIRPORT:

    The Lost and Found Office is located in the Lobby of the Terminal, Office Number 102. Open Mo-Fri 9am-9pm. Tel: 5571-3600, ext.2289; Fax: 5571-0497 - for items lost in the Hallway or at checkpoint. You need a copy of personal ID, copy of boarding pass and a statement of where item was lost and description of item. There is a three-month claim period.

    Items lost on the airplane or at the ticket counter and waiting areas: contact your airline.

    Baggage which was impounded: After clearance it will be returned to owner. Claim ticket expires after 40 days.

    MEX Airport has two terminals - Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.

    Terminal 1 consists of a "Primero Nivel" (First Level); "PA" or "Planta Alta" (Upper Level); and "PB" or "Planta Baja" (Lower Level).
    Numerical reference to locations, i.e., "NA143 PB 1" means: NA143 is the location number on the Airport Terminal Map, at Lower Level, Terminal 1.

    PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES AT MEX AIRPORT:

    AICM provides universal access inside/outside Terminal Building to serve needs for the disabled, expectant mothers and the elderly while remaining at the premises.

    ELEVATORS: Located in concourses A, B, D, E1, E3, F1, G, H, M1 and M2.

    MOVING SIDEWALK: Located at boarding gateways of the International Section to ease far reaching points. This slow conveyor belt allows riders to walk or stand.

    ESCALATORS AND RAMPS: located at concourses A, B, D, E1, E2, F1, M1 and M2 .

    ELECTRIC STAIRWAYS AND RAMPS at upper and lower levels in Main Terminal. Located in concourses A, B, D, E1, E2, F1, M1 and M2.

    TELEPHONES: In all terminals, wheelchair accessible telephones are located in all waiting areas and throughout Terminal Building.

    RESTROOMS: Fully accessible with toilet stalls for individuals with disabilities. Baby changing stations are also available. Location: concourses A, D, E1, E3, G, H, J, M1, M2, Foreign Buses Terminal, and gateway boarding waiting areas.

    RAMPS: To accesS Main Terminal, outside building as well as a vehicle ramp to international entrances.

    SUPPORT VEHICLES: Free of charge.

    DISABLED PARKING: Located near ramps, elevators and entrances, to privilage the disable, elderly and expectant mothers.

    AIRLINE PASSENGER SERVICE: For wheelchairs, special attendance to check luggages and boarding facilities contact your airlinene.
