- Internet Access at Binghamton Regional Link Field BGM Airport
Internet connection is available in the departure lounge and restaurant via a wireless signal. The Cisco Aironet 342 Wireless Access Point operates at 11 megabits per second (mbps) and is based on the IEEE 802.11b wireless standard. This 2.4Ghz frequency range allows users to connect at a very high rate of speed for Internet browsing. Coverage area is anywhere in the Subway restaurant and the Departure Lounge area, with possible reception in the airport terminal concourse. No"plug-in" on a data drop or phone line necessary. Designated areas are known as "Network Hot Spots" and Binghamton Airport followed this trend.
However, the Airport continues to offer plug-in data ports, along with other business-related services, in the Business Center of the Passenger Terminal Building.
