Main Terminal / Concourses at Bristol BRS Airport
Bristol Airport has one three-level passenger terminal, which houses on the ground level Check-in & Arrivals, on the first level security check, concessions and departure gates 23-25, and on the Mezzanine level some food & drink establishments and access to departure gates 8-16.
A 450 meter walkway connects the terminal to eight new pre-boarding zones.
The ground level of the passenger terminal is divided into (a) a check-in area with a set of six self-service kiosks for Air Air France, KLM, Air Southwest & OLT; ticketing and check-in desks, Information counter, food & drink establishments & shop, Bureau de change, cash machine & shower facility; and (b) separate International & Domestic arrivals with baggage claim areas.
The first level of the passenger terminal has a coffee shop before security check. After security check is the Departure lounge with a few shops, Starbucks, Euro cashpoint, cash machine, and boarding gates 1 to 8, with access via escalator to gates 9 to 12. A smoking area is outside.
The Mezzanine level of the passenger terminal has food & drink establishments, as well as an Executive lounge, with stairs and elevators leading to Ground & First Floor.
NOTE: Improvement work on the passenger terminal resulted in the mid-summer 2012 opening of the expanded security search area and additional immigration facilities.
Long-term improvements (up to 2020) include the extension of the passenger terminal to twice its present size.
