Brno BRQ Airport Overview
Brno International Airport BRQ serves the South-Moravia Region of the Czech Republic.
The Airport is located within city limits of Brno, and is accessible via the D1 Praha-Brno-Olomouc motorway (Slatina exit), or the D2 Brno-Bratislava motorway.
With an estimated 0.6 million passengers in 2012, Brno International Airport is served by CSA Czech Airlines with daily flights to Prague, by low-cost airlines Ryanair and Wings and by Travel Service offering charter flights to popular vacation destinations.

The passenger terminal at Brno-Turany Airport has two concourses and its departure hall can handle up to 1,000 passengers per hour. Aside from food & drink and retail concessions, the terminal offers the following amenities:

The Tourist Information Center in the passenger terminal is responsible for accommodations and public transport in Brno.
Air Service Brno (tel. +420 545 51 175/6), located in the Departure hall facing the entrance, takes reservations and sells airline tickets. It is also responsible for parking, exchange office, aerotaxi, rental cars and hotels, and is open daily 8am-6pm from June-October; and from November-May Mon-Fri 8am-6pm; weekends 3pm-6pm. The Exchange office has the same time table.

To get from Brno International Airport to your destination, you can rent a car, take a taxi, or a bus. If you use public transportation, you need to pay a ticket in advance. Tickets are available at the Information Center, at vending machines, newsstands, hotels and some shops. Upon entering the bus, you must ‘punch’ your ticket. Tickets can be bought for 60 & 90 mins., a day, 3 days or 7 days. A 60-min. ticket will get you to the City Center & will cost you 22 CZK; each of these time tickets can be used for transfer.
1. Taxi stands are near the terminal, or call +420 542 321 321. The trip to downtown takes 20 minutes and costs about 300 CZK or 10 EUR.
2. Daytime Bus line 76 stops in front of the passenger terminal and runs every 30 minutes to the Brno main train station and main bus station (stopping near the tram terminus), taking about 20 minutes for the trip. This bus line departs the Airport from about 6am to about 11pm. Bus line 89 is the night bus, stopping at the Airport between about 11:30pm and 5:30am.
3. Train and Bus connections are available at the Brno train and bus stations, which offer connections to Vienna, Prague and Bratislava. A trip to Vienna or Bratislava takes 1.5 hrs by train; and to Prague 2.5 hrs by bus. A round trip ticket costs about 8 EUR. Other connections are available to Olomouc (1.5 hrs), Ostrave & Northern Moravia (2 hrs).
