OverviewPublic Transportation from Bucharest Airport to your destination: Public transport at Bucharest includes buses, trams, trolleys & subway. (Licensed taxis are outside the terminal, in front of Arrivals; shuttle buses locatated in front of Arrivals take passengers to the CFR Airport Stop where they can catch the express train.)
The passenger Terminal is connected to the A3 Bucharest-Brasov motorway, to the railway system, and to the Bucharest metro system.
Bus 780 to subway station: Reached from either the Arrivals or Departure Hall - to the nearby Metrorex subway station - 900 meters from the Airport, which connects to Bucharest's 'Gara de Nord' main train station. Tickets are valid for bus & train. Note that part of the Airport's expansion plans calls for relocation of the train station into the Airport.
The Metro subway with lines M1 through M4 covers most city areas. (contact Metrorex at www.metrorex.ro/prima_pagina_p785-1.
The Express Bus 783 to city center runs day- & night times, (at night departing every 40 mins) - stopping in front of the Arrivals & Departure Terminals - the magnetic card is valid for two rides at 7 lei. A card desk is available in front of the Arrivals Terminal. route 783 makes the following stops:
Airport Henri Coanda Arrivals,Airport Henri Coanda Departure, ICSITMUA, Otopeni City Hall (Primaria Otopeni), AMCO, CFR Passage (Pasaj CFR), Privighetorilor Alley (Aleea Privighetorilor), Metheorogical Institute (Institutul Meteorologic), Baneasa Airport, Baneasa Bridge (Pod Baneasa), Press House(Triumph Arch - Casa Presei), Docentilor, Victory Square* (Piata Victoriei), Romana Square (Piata Romana), 21 December Square (Piata 21 Decembrie), Unirii Square 1 (Piata Unirii 1), Unirii Square 2 (Piata Unirii 2) - last stop!
* At Victory Square (Piata Victoriei) stop, and at each of the remaining stops, are connections to the Subway (Metrou).
