Carcassonne CCF Airport Overview
Carcassonne Airport CCF (also known as Salvaza Airport) serves southern France's Department of Aude.
The Airport is located at the northern edge of the town of Carcassonne (3 km from city center) and south of Languedoc-Roussillon, and is easily accessible from motorway A61, junction 23 - follow 'Mazamet' sign, and can be reached from Toulouse via motorway A64. Close-by cities are Caux-et-Sauzens, Cazilhac, Lavalette & Pannautier.
With 395,733 passengers in 2012, Carcassonne Airport is served by national and international, as well as low-cost airlines, such as Ryanair, offering seasonal charter flights to popular vacation destinations.
Note that the Airport’s opening/closing times differ from Summer/Winter seasons: During the winter season Nov-Mar, it is open 7 days/wk, Mon, Fri & Sun 8:30am-6pm; Tues 10am-5pm; Wed, Thu & Sat 10am-6pm.
Also note that for check-in, arrive two hours prior to scheduled flight – check-in closes 40 minutes prior thereto.
The passenger terminal at Carcassone Airport has a restaurant & caterer (Le Salvaza) and a shop for regional products & gifts (Delices et des Ailes).
Parking at Carcassone Airport is available in Lots 1 and 2 for short- and long-termparking. The first 15 minutes are free, the first hour costs 2.50 EUR, 24 hrs cost 9 EUR.
