Chambery Savoie CMF Airport Overview

Chambéry-Savoie Airport CMF is a small international airport, serving the French Departments of Savoie & Haute Savoie, a densely populated area with over 5.7 million people within a 30-minute drive, and 1.7 million people within less than an hour’s drive. Due to its location it is not only gateway to the French Alps (Vanoise National Park, Mont Blanc, Grande Casse) and lakes (Bourget, Aiguebelette, Annecy, Geneva), but  also to over 110 first-class alpine ski resorts (Chamonix, Albertville, etc.).  Chambery-Savoie Airport is on a seasonal schedule – the Winter season is between December and April and is its busiest season.

The Airport is located  near the community of Chambery, in the Rohne-Alps region, and is close to the interchange of motorways A41 & A43 (connecting to A48 & A49).

With 2 small runways and an estimated 233,000 passengers in2012, Chambery-Savoie Airport is served by some scheduled airlines with direct flights to U.K. cities and by many charter airlines. 

The passenger terminal at Chambery-Savoie Airport has a capacity of one million passengers per annum , with 4 gates, 1 international arrivals area and 19 check-in desks. For food & drink, try the Resto ‘fly 73 restaurant/bar. Two duty-free shops and a newsstand operate in the winter season only. Also, many tour operators are serving the Airport with various tourist-related services.
There is also a business center in the passenger terminal with rooms to rent (tel: 33 (0)4 79 54 49 52). For general aviation, there is also a special VIP terminal  with a VIP arrivals and departure lounge, with staffed service center and a meeting room.
The passenger terminal is open 8am-8pm in summer and 7am-7:30pm in winter.

Parking is free at Chambery-Savoie Airport, with over 300 spaces, located opposite the terminal.

To get from the Chambery-Savoie Airport to your destination, you can rent a car Inside the terminal, opposite arrivals (Avis, National, Europcar, Hertz & Sixt),
