Willard CMI Airport Overview

Willard Airport CMI - formally called 'University of Illinois Willard Airport', serves the residents of central Illinois who use the airport to connect to hundreds of destinations in the U.S. and overseas. Willard Airport is one of only a few commercial airports in the country which is owned and operated by an educational institution. The University takes full advantage of training and research opportunities made possible by its location.i
The Airport is located south of Savoy, Tolono township, Champaign County, Illinois, and situated off Interstate Hwys 57, 72 and 74 and State Hwy 45.  The Manager's Office can be reached during regular office hours at 217-244-8604.
With four runways, Willard Airport is served by American Eagle Airlines offering daily flights to Chicago O'Hare and Dallas/Ft. Worth, and connections around the globe. 

The passenger terminal at Willard Airport offers a cafe, internet access throughout, an ATM machine, rental car counters and a conference room (available by appointment--Tel 217-244-8634).  The terminal is ope 4:30am-10:30pm.

Parking options at Willard Airport: Short- and long-term parking is available at only $5/day (prorated for shorter stays).

To get from Willard Airport to your destination, you can either rent a car there, take a taxi, limo, or public transportation. MTD buses operate 7 days a week (reduced Sunday schedule) during University of Illinois Fall and Spring Semesters and Summer Session. No Bus service on campus Holidays, during Fall and Spring Break, and the usual interim periods between Fall and Spring, between Spring and Summer and between Summer and Fall. MTD buses connect to intercitiy buses and to Amtrak.
