  • denver to paris?

Coming in from Denver at 5:14 - leaving for Paris at 6:15. Should I have any concerns?

That should be enough time if the first flight is on-time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate if both flights are on American.

Flying in from st martin with AA and connecting to JFK (AA). Will I have to go through US Immigration or can I connect directly to my next flight? I have 50 minutes - is that enough? (EU citizen)

Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, and go through security and to your departure gate. That is not realistically enough time. You need at least 90 minutes.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I guess that having only a carry-on luggage will be faster. Just have to go through Immigration (and security?) and reach the departure gate, right?

Yes, if you only have carry ons you just have to go through Immigration, Customs, and Security, it will still be very difficult to do that in 50 minutes.

American changed our AA flight to American Eagle arriving in charlotte at 10:41 am. We depart at 11:50 am from Terminal 3. My husband needs assistance and we are concerned that we will have enough time to reach the connecting flight. What gate are we arriving at (12/15 American Flight 5454). Thanks very much for your help with this matter.

Charlotte only has one terminal. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. All gates are connected inside security. You won't know your exact gates until the day of your flight. You should have plenty of time.

AA changed my flight arrival and department times. I'm arriving from LGA at 12:30pm on a Tuesday. My flight to MCO is scheduled to leave at 1:00. Is that enough time to make the connecting flight? Is there a minimum connection time the airline must follow?

It's possible, but it doesn't leave any time to spare if the flight from LaGuardia is delayed. I would call AA and ask for a different connection.

Is an hour and a half enough time to make a connection arriving from Dublin and flying to Orlando?

Yes, you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin. All you have to do in Charlotte is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

That's barely enough time if everything goes perfectly.

Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do in Charlotte on your way to London is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Flying in from st martin and connecting to New Orleans. Will I have to leave security after going through customs/imagration or can I connect directly to my next flight?

Yes, in Charlotte you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate.

Hi. I'm flying home to London from Fort Lauderdale to Heathrow on American Airlines, arriving in Charlotte at 4.48pm and leaving on the London Heathrow at 6.20pm. I will have cleared immigration at Fort Lauderdale. Will I just transfer from one gate to another passing through an international security check, or will I have to clear immigration again and will this be enough time? Many thanks!

You actually will not have cleared immigration in Fort Lauderdale, you will just go through security. There is no US Immigration when leaving the US and there is no such thing as "international security check" All you have to do in Charlotte is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have plenty of time.

I am flying from Myrtle Beach to Toronto. I arrive at 1:56pm on 12/17. Connecting flight leaves at 2:31 from Charlotte. Is that enough time?

That is barely enough time if the first flight is on-time.

  • Tight connection between Charleston arrival to Jax departure

My son is flying on his own on AA from Charleston to Jacksonville with a stop in Charlotte. He only has 50 min layover. He is 19, has Down Syndrome and is an experienced traveler but has never had to navigate a connection (nor an airport as big as Charlotte on his own). Any idea if the gates will be close together? I worry about time and navigating the different terminals?

His gates could really be anywhere in the terminal. Charlotte is large, but only has one terminal

I am arriving at the Charlotte Amtrak station at 10:04. My American Airlines flight leaves at 11:50. With the time that it takes to catch a taxi to the the airport and check in, do you think I will make it in time?

    No, I don't think that's enough time.

arriving from CUN 12/24 6:45pm, depart flight is at 7:45pm to SAN. is one hour layover enough for this international-domestic connection?

Normally that would not be possible, but in the evening of Christmas Eve with no checked baggage, it may just be possible.

Coming into CLT at 9:10p at gate E8-connection at 10:10p at gate C6. Are the two terminals far apart - I am traveling with a support pet also. Do they have any pet relief stations if I have time between flights? I get very anxious about getting from terminal to terminal. Is it a long way from E8 to C6?

Charlotte only has one terminal. Those are concourses (hallways). You have enough time.

Thanks. Do you know if there ate any pet relief stations in Charlotte?

Arriving from DFW Sun 11/27 at 12:23pm - departure flight is at 1:20pm to PWM. Is that plenty of time between flights? (First-time flier)

Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
