my granddaughter is flying into CLT on her way to Newport News Virginia. is it complicated or confusing to get to the proper terminal? she is nervous about finding where she needs to be to catch her next flight to Newport News
Charlotte only has one terminal. If her first flight is domestic all she has to do is follow signs from her arrival gate to her departure gate. She can find out her departure gate on or on the monitors in the terminal.
Have a flight into charlotte from montego bay. Checked one luggage. We have a 12 hour layover with aa. Will we have to pay to recheck bag or will they just do it?
If it's overnight you will have to pay to re-check your bag in the morning.
When landing from an international flight... and catching a connecting flight... what do we do? Is it immigration, get baggage, customs, recheck baggage? Is it pretty self explanatory when we land?
Yes, that is the procedure and yes, it is pretty self explanatory. You also have to go through security after you re-check your bags.
From our previous 2 hour layover we now only have an hour and twenty minutes between incoming flight from Grand Cayman, to outgoing to Chatanooga, is this enough with hold baggage?
That is just enough time if everything goes perfectly.
What is the average time to pass through immigration's (US citizen), clear customs, and recheck bags if flying from another country and catching a connecting flight through Charlotte?
The minimum is 75 minutes, but in most circumstances I recommend at least 90.
This seems like a better place to post my question. I am flying in from Cancun, Mexico to CLT on AA arriving at 6:35 PM (9/24/17) and have to make my connecting flight on AA to MKE departing at 7:45 PM. When I originally booked I gave myself a 2.5-hour layover, will this new schedule be enough time to clear immigration, customs, and security?
That will be very difficult. I would call American and ask for an earlier flight from Cancun or a connection over a different AA hub.
Thanks, will do that!
I'm flying in from Salisbury Maryland (don't know the gate) and have 25 minutes to catch flight to Charleston South Carolina. If the arrival flight is on time will i make it to the gate?
You'll really have to run and everything will have to go perfectly.
I land in B6 and have to catch a connection in the E terminal....I will have about 1 hour....Is this enough time or should I take a plane with a 2hr connection window? Thanks!
B and E are just concourses, not terminals. 1 hour is enough time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
I land at 1:34 at C14 and my plane leaves gate E36 at 2:29. Is there enough time since I am 71 and cannot walk fast? Does AA have some kind of transportation of elderly people like me so I do not miss my flight?
You can request wheelchair service by contacting American. You should have enough time.
Arriving at CLT 7:01pm Departing/connecting flight for EWN is at 7:45pm seating is in last rows of plain arriving is there enough time to get to connecting flight
That is just enough time if the first flight is on-time.
