I'm flying American and, due to a delay, am expected to land at 9:55 pm at gate D12 (on a domestic flight) -- do I have a chance of making my domestic connection departing 10:15 pm from gate B7?

There's a chance the second flight will be delayed.

  • 36 min enought time?

Interested in an American flight (148) out of NYC that connects to another American flight (1957) in charlotte to New Orleans. Only 36 mins between. Is it doable or no way?

It's possible, all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, but it leaves no time to spare if the flight from New York is delayed.

Thank you. The possibility of delay is a worry.

Will be arriving on united express from houston and connecting on lufthansa to munich. Have about 1 hr 30 minutes. Can I do security and bag check all in houston?

Yes, if everything is on the same reservation all you have to do in Charlotte is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

I have a little over an hour to make a connecting flight at CLT, but will be returning from Saint Martin (SXM). I will only have carry-on baggage. What kind of time is involved for re-entry checks on a Saturday afternoon?

That is not possible. You will have to go through US Immigration, customs, and security.

I am flying BWI/CLT/ILM in June. I arrive in CLT at concourse B. I will need to get to concourse E with only 30 minutes between flights. Is that enough time? Will I have to go through security again?

It's enough time if your flight from BWI is on-time. You do not have to go through security.

  • 75 minute connection

We have an arriving flight from Cancun and have a 75 minute layover. I was told repeatedly that it was enough time as Charlotte is a simple airport? Is it enough time considering baggage, immigration and customs?

No, that is totally not enough time. Whoever told you that doesn't know what they are talking about. You need at least 2 hours, and this summer maybe even 3.

hi I'm going to be coming in from Grand Cayman at 4:20 with a connecting flight to DFW at 5:58. I have global entry so I also have whatever that clearance is for TSA that comes with it. Do ya'll think I'll have enough time to clear customs & make my flight to Dallas?

With global entry I think you have a chance but it will be tough.

If I am coming from Pearson Airport (Toronto, Canada) to go to Barcelona to Spain, is it necessary for me to check out and check in again or can I simply go the the specified gate?

You will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Toronto. All you have to do in Charlotte is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Charlotte only has one terminal, so yes.

  • 75 min layover. Incoming: Dublin, Outgoing: Miami

Hi, i have an incoming flight from Dublin and an outgoing flight to Miami, with a layover of 75 minutes in between. I'm not sure if i will have to collect my bags in charlotte and then recheck them for my flight to miami or if they would be taged all the way( both flights are American Airlines) Can you tell me if 75 minutes is sufficient for all the necessary protocols?

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin. All you have to do in Charlotte is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate - no protocols. You have enough time.

Arriving on AA 1734 from Detroit, connecting to AA 1458 to Newark. 56 minutes between flights. I've never flown into Charlotte, I understand it's one terminal. If I have both boarding passes will I be alright?

Yes, all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

  • Connecting time for incoming London flight then onward to Dayton
    May 2, 2016

Hi I have a flight coming in from London to CLT and then an onward flight to Dayton. I only have 1 hour 39 minutes for incoming connections - is that enough time to clear customs, collect and re-check luggage and make the next flight? I don't konw if I have to change terminals. I assume that my luggage will be tagged all the way from London to Dayton. Thanks.

That's barely enough time if everything goes smoothly. Charlotte only has one terminal. You will arrive, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security, and to your departure gate.

Will AA flight 882 from Cancun be close to AA flight 1653 to Kansas City?

Charlotte only has one terminal and all gates are connected inside security.

Flying with AA from Orlando with 50 minute layover before connecting AA flight to Ireland is there enough time for international check in?

There is no such thing as "international check in". All you have to do in Charlotte is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time. You will be checked in for both flights and go through security in Orlando.

  • Layover for an international flight from Londn

Hi I'm flying from London (LHR) to CLT and then onwards to Dayton (DAY) - all with BA and AA (Codeshare). I have a layover in CLT for 1 hour 39 minutes before flying onto Dayton. Do I need to collect and re-check baggage at CLT? Is 1:39 sufficient time to clear customs and then make the connecting flight? It's my first time flying into CLT so any advice would be appreciated.

Yes, you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. You should have just enough time. CLT is a fairly simple airport.
