Does CLT make you go through custom, exit, and re-enter through security like ATL or MIA? I have a short connection and hoping to just walk from my arrival gate to my departure gate. thanks.
There is no US Customs when leaving the US (anywhere). All you have to do in CLT is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Coming in from Denver at 5:14 - leaving for Paris at 6:15. Should I have any concerns?
That should be enough time if the first flight is on-time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate if both flights are on American.
Flying in from st martin with AA and connecting to JFK (AA). Will I have to go through US Immigration or can I connect directly to my next flight? I have 50 minutes - is that enough? (EU citizen)
Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, and go through security and to your departure gate. That is not realistically enough time. You need at least 90 minutes.
Thanks a lot for your reply. I guess that having only a carry-on luggage will be faster. Just have to go through Immigration (and security?) and reach the departure gate, right?
Yes, if you only have carry ons you just have to go through Immigration, Customs, and Security, it will still be very difficult to do that in 50 minutes.
American changed our AA flight to American Eagle arriving in charlotte at 10:41 am. We depart at 11:50 am from Terminal 3. My husband needs assistance and we are concerned that we will have enough time to reach the connecting flight. What gate are we arriving at (12/15 American Flight 5454). Thanks very much for your help with this matter.
Charlotte only has one terminal. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. All gates are connected inside security. You won't know your exact gates until the day of your flight. You should have plenty of time.
AA changed my flight arrival and department times. I'm arriving from LGA at 12:30pm on a Tuesday. My flight to MCO is scheduled to leave at 1:00. Is that enough time to make the connecting flight? Is there a minimum connection time the airline must follow?
It's possible, but it doesn't leave any time to spare if the flight from LaGuardia is delayed. I would call AA and ask for a different connection.
Is an hour and a half enough time to make a connection arriving from Dublin and flying to Orlando?
Yes, you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin. All you have to do in Charlotte is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
arriving on AA from MBJ at 4:44pm, have connecting flight to STL at 6:06pm (1 hour 25 minutes)
is tht enough time to go through customs & catch my connecting AA flight?
That's barely enough time if everything goes perfectly.
i arrive at CLT from MSY and have a 60mins lay over for my flight to LHR. Do i have enought time? i am told there is, as the airline has given me this combination. Could someone confirm? thanks
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do in Charlotte on your way to London is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Flying in from st martin and connecting to New Orleans. Will I have to leave security after going through customs/imagration or can I connect directly to my next flight?
Yes, in Charlotte you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate.
Hi. I'm flying home to London from Fort Lauderdale to Heathrow on American Airlines, arriving in Charlotte at 4.48pm and leaving on the London Heathrow at 6.20pm. I will have cleared immigration at Fort Lauderdale. Will I just transfer from one gate to another passing through an international security check, or will I have to clear immigration again and will this be enough time? Many thanks!
You actually will not have cleared immigration in Fort Lauderdale, you will just go through security. There is no US Immigration when leaving the US and there is no such thing as "international security check" All you have to do in Charlotte is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have plenty of time.
