I plan on flying from Boston to Pensecola with a connection at CLT. Going out there is 1.30 stop over returning only 53 mins. Is this enough time? I have arthritic knees so am slow walking.

I have 43 minutes in CLT to connect from an American airlines flight from NYC to a PSA Airlines flight to Knoxville. Is that enough time?

Yes, both of you should have enough time.

My plane from Myrtle Beach arrives at 10:20am. The flight to Philadelphia departs at 11:15. Is that enough time to get from one terminal to another?

Charlotte only has one Terminal. You should have plenty of time if your flight from Myrtle Beach is on-time.

Hello i have a question, my husband has a conection flight from charlotte to FLL he arrives at 9:49 and the next flight is at 10:09 he arrives at gate E21 and the other flight leaves from gate C4, can he make it?

That's barely enough time if his first flight is on-time.

Hi, I am flying from Chicago to Dublin via CLT. The connection time from arrival to CLT to departure to Dublin is 75 mins. Is this enough time?

Yes, that should be enough time. All you have to do in Charlotte is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

I am flying through Charlotte for trip to Puerto Rico. Going to Puerto Rico, is 1 hr 15 min layover enough time? Then for return trip, I have 1 hr 30 min layover to catch the next domestic flight? Not sure if Puerto Rico is considered international and whether I need to go through customs or any other necessary extra things

For all intents and purposes, Puerto Rico is considered domestic. All you have to do in Charlotte both ways is just go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.

That is just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

I am flying from london to New orleans and make a connecting flight in charlotte. i only have 1 hour to make this connection? will this be enough time? both flights are booked with american airlines

No, the minimum connection time for International to Domestic through Charlotte is 90 minutes. You need to be rebooked on an earlier flight from London, a later flight to New Orleans or through another AA hub.

I'm travelling from BUF to MCO with a 1 hr 20 min connection at CLT. I'm checking in baggage in BUF. Do I have to claim, recheck my bags, and clear security in CLT before catching the 2nd flight? Both flights are with Americian Airlines.

All you have to do in Charlotte is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You don't have to do anything with your bags. You have plenty of time.

Is it possible to obtain the boarding pass for an international flight on a separate booking in a different domestic airport?

    No. Usually not

I am taking a one way flight from Charlotte to Frankfurt. I am arriving at Charlotte on a domestic flight and then taking a one way flight from Charlotte to Frankfurt. The domestic and international tickets were purchased as two separate one way tickets. both are american airlines flights..Because the domestic arrival flight terminal and international departing flights are connected and are inside the security. So, I guess there won't be any need to exit since I will not have any checkin baggage. I have 1h time between these two flights. The problem is that I am unable to checkin online for the international flight and it says "need to see a gate agent". The question is can i get the boarding pass once i reach the gate at Charlotte or do I need to exit the terminal and re-enyer through the security? trying to reach American... Any ideas in the interim?

Yes, you can get your boarding pass at the gate in Charlotte.

  • CLT - SEA on same airline 20 minute layover

I'm flying from IND to CLT and from CLT direct to SEA. I am flying American Airlines both flights, but only have a 25 minute layover. My arriving gate is C5 and I need to get to B6. Is this enough time to make my flight? I've never had a layover this short and am quite nervous about making my connections.

It's possible if you run and are not delayed.

We have an hour and 20 minutes between connections in Charlotte. Should we check our bags or would it save enough time to just carry them on?

Since that is 10 minutes shorter than the recommended minimum International to Domestic connection time, I definitely recommend carry-on only.

  • Connection SJO - CLT - PHL on same airline - Customs

We're flying roundtrip on American Airlines PHL to SJO with connection both ways in CLT. We're checking baggage in SJO to arrive in PHL for our flight back. When we fly back from SJO to PHL and land in CLT, do we have to go through Customs and Immigration or can we go directly to our connecting departure gate? If we do have to go through Customs, do we have to retrieve our bags from baggage claim, go through Customs and then re-check our bags with the airline?

Yes, in Charlotte you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate.

Thank you for your response. The flight has 90 minutes between connections. Would 90 minutes be enough time?

90 minutes is the minimum allowable time. It's possible but depends on everything going smoothly.
