I'm flying into Charlotte from Akron going to Phoenix, are they in the same Terminal?

Charlotte only has one terminal, so yes.

  • 75 min layover. Incoming: Dublin, Outgoing: Miami

Hi, i have an incoming flight from Dublin and an outgoing flight to Miami, with a layover of 75 minutes in between. I'm not sure if i will have to collect my bags in charlotte and then recheck them for my flight to miami or if they would be taged all the way( both flights are American Airlines) Can you tell me if 75 minutes is sufficient for all the necessary protocols?

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin. All you have to do in Charlotte is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate - no protocols. You have enough time.

Arriving on AA 1734 from Detroit, connecting to AA 1458 to Newark. 56 minutes between flights. I've never flown into Charlotte, I understand it's one terminal. If I have both boarding passes will I be alright?

Yes, all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

  • Connecting time for incoming London flight then onward to Dayton

Hi I have a flight coming in from London to CLT and then an onward flight to Dayton. I only have 1 hour 39 minutes for incoming connections - is that enough time to clear customs, collect and re-check luggage and make the next flight? I don't konw if I have to change terminals. I assume that my luggage will be tagged all the way from London to Dayton. Thanks.

That's barely enough time if everything goes smoothly. Charlotte only has one terminal. You will arrive, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security, and to your departure gate.

Will AA flight 882 from Cancun be close to AA flight 1653 to Kansas City?

Charlotte only has one terminal and all gates are connected inside security.

Flying with AA from Orlando with 50 minute layover before connecting AA flight to Ireland is there enough time for international check in?

There is no such thing as "international check in". All you have to do in Charlotte is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time. You will be checked in for both flights and go through security in Orlando.

  • Layover for an international flight from Londn

Hi I'm flying from London (LHR) to CLT and then onwards to Dayton (DAY) - all with BA and AA (Codeshare). I have a layover in CLT for 1 hour 39 minutes before flying onto Dayton. Do I need to collect and re-check baggage at CLT? Is 1:39 sufficient time to clear customs and then make the connecting flight? It's my first time flying into CLT so any advice would be appreciated.

Yes, you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. You should have just enough time. CLT is a fairly simple airport.

  • Domestic connection in two legs, both with AA

I stupidly already booked a flight from Wilmington to CLT but now need to fly on to JFK. If I need to collect bags and re-check them, is that doable in 60min or should I book a whole new connecting flight so AA does the suitcase transfer work for me? Thanks

If you show AA both confirmations then they should be able to check your bags through to JFK for you in Wilmington - that is if you aren't already booked on a different connection in Charlotte (which makes me wonder why you bought a ticket just from Wilmington to Charlotte)

Because my original flight back to the UK was from Charlotte that evening. I'll call customer services and see if they'll do the bag transfer. Thanks

Hi, I am flying from LAX to SBY, but I have connection in CLT and want to ask if 1 hour and 5 minutes is enought? Thank you

Yes, all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. All gates in Charlotte are connected inside security.

  • Is 41 min layover enough?

Flying into Charlotte from Columbia SC with a connecting flight to Hartford. Is a 41 min layover enough time to make connecting flight? Would all arriving and departing American Airlines flights be on Concourse A?

They would not necessarily both be on the same concourse. You have enough time as long as the flight from Columbia is on-time.

    Thanks for the help.

I will be flying from Dublin/Ireland to Charlotte with connecting flight to JFK. All with AA. I have 110mins connecting time. Dublin airport has special preclearance immigration & customs facilities. But will I have to collect luggage at Charlotte & check it back in? Or can I walk directly from arrival gate to onward connecting gate?

All you have to do in Charlotte is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

    Thanks for the help.

Flying AA from Cancun to Kanas City MO through CLT with family of 4. AA only gave us 60 min layover. Will flight 882 and 1653 be anywhere close that this 60 min layover could be possible to met? AA won't change our flight as they say it's a legal & doable flight! Help!

60 minutes is well below the international to domestic connection time in Charlotte hang up and call again until you get someone who knows what they're talking about.

I've never traveled out of US before & didn't know what all you had to go thru coming back at CLT so thought 60 mins was plenty of time & AA booked this layover knowing I wanted Cancun to Kansas City. I've called AA 3 times now & they all keep telling me it's very doable & so if I want to switch I would have to pay $200 per person for family of 4 to switch. Help!?!?!

  • Is 44 min layover enough

I am traveling from DTW to RDU by AA on Saturday. My layover time is 44 minutes in Charlotte Airport. If my flight arrives at concourse "C" (may be gate at C3) and my connecting flight by AA eagle departs from concourse "B" (may be gate from B4), do I have sufficient time to catch my connecting flight.concourse "B" (may be gate from B4), will be suefficient to catch my connecting flight.

Yes, that should be enough time as long as your flight from Detroit is on-time. All gates in Charlotte are connected inside security.

I am starting from Gainesville, FL to CLT and have a 38 min layover before my flight to SFO. Is this enough time?

It's just enough time as long as your flight from Gainesville is on-time.

Flying home to Denver from Jamaica with a 90min layover in CLT.. is that enough time? How does the process work in CLT with customs when we arrive? Do we get our bags and then go through security again? Both flights are american airlines

That's just enough time. You will arrive, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate.
