Just received notice that our flight will be leaving DCA 15 min later than originally planned. That gives us 1 hour from arrival until our connecting flight takes off. For an 8:00am flight does boarding start around 7:30? Thank you!

Yes, that should be enough time. All you have to do if the first flight is domestic is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

I arrive at CLT at 10:45 am and leave for an international flight to Nassau at 11:30. Is it possible to make that connection?

Yes, assuming your first flight is domestic and also on American all you have to do in CLT is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. All gates at CLT are connected inside security.

I am due to arrive from London at 14.55 and are scheduled to fly out at 16.20 to Fort Myers. Is there a distance between gates and is this connection possible ? thanks

That's barely enough time if everything goes perfectly. You will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, and go through security.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Lets hope there is room on the next flight to Fort Myers then

  • Is 35 min connection enough time?

Arriving 10:39 a.m. AA#1936 from Austin. Have 35 min to make connection to AA#5430 to Charleston departing at 11:14 a.m. What concourse(s) do these flights usually use? AA#1936 comes in on an A319 and AA#5430 is on a CR9 if that matters. Thanks!

Flights don't have "regular" concourses. You have barely enough time if the flight from Austin is on-time.

I arrive at 3:09 from Cancun and have a connecting flight 1 hour and 6 minutes later for domestic leg. Both legs are American. Is this enough time?

No, that's shorter than the minimum International to Domestic connection time in Charlotte.

  • Which Terminal will I come into?

Coming in to CLT from PUJ onway to MHT in July. Whic h tgerminal will I arrive into CLZT from PUJ in? Flying on AA 321 model plane. Thanks

    Charlotte only has one terminal.

I know, I have been there 12 times last year alone. I was currious which Wing. I have never been there for INT arrivals. ? A-E. Thanks

And obviously it is not coming into E from PUJ as those would be the turboprops going out to TRI and Roanoke.

International Arrivals use concourse D, but that's pretty irrelevant as you end up in the base of the terminal once you go through US Immigration and Customs.

I'm landing in Charlotte tomorrow at 3:08 pm at gate B6 and my connecting flight leaves at 4pm from E16A. How long will it take me from gate B6 to E16A? Thanks

It should take less than 15 minutes as long as you can walk quickly.

  • Overnight stay before connecting flight

Traveling Aruba to Pittsburgh, via CLT with overnight stay in Charlotte (local hotel). I will be checking a bag in Aruba and assume I must claim it once landed in CLT. Can I take my checked bag with me to hotel or does it stay at airport and I need to keep some clothes, toiletries with me for the overnight stay?

Yes, if you claim your bag in Charlotte you will take it with you. You will preclear US Immigration and Customs in Aruba, so you won't have to in Charlotte.

    Maybe 10-15 minutes at most.

  • International arrival with domestic connection.

Arriving 8:55pm on Sunday Mar 13 on international flight. Connecting to domestic leg with 10:40pm departure. Will need to grab a bite to eat. Will I have time?

You only have time to get food if things go really smoothly, which considering your late evening arrival, they may. However, some of the restaurants may also be closing around that time.

I fly in from Boston to Charlotte and have a 50 min layover until my flight leaves for Tallahassee. Both flights are American Airlines. Will this be enough time to get to where I need to go? Will i need to puck up my luggage in Charlotte and re-check it to go to Tallahassee or does the airline take care of it? Ive only flown direct so im quite nervous. I normally fly direct to Jacksonville and its super easy and direct. Any additional info will be appreciated, ie. Navigating terminals, common issues, using a monorail system, etc. thank you!

You don't have to do anything with your bags in Charlotte. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. Charlotte only has one terminal and doesn't have a monorail. You have enough time.
