This Saturday 7/29, I'll be arriving at 9:05pm to CLT from SJO Costa Rica. I have a connecting flight to Rochester, NY just over an hour later, at 10:15pm. I realize this is a very small window, but there were no other flights to Rochester from San Jose on this day (when I bought the tickets a few months ago). Is there any chance I'll be able to make it through customs in time to make my flight? I was hoping that since it will be 9pm, customs won't be crowded. If there is no chance I'll make the connection, what are my other options? (I'm a college student, have only flown alone once before)
Arriving that late in the evening on a Saturday you should be OK if the flight from San Jose is on-time.
Hi in September we will be flying from charleston to Charlotte to catch a connecting flight to heathrow and only have been given an hour and 5 minutes to get this connecting flight. Will we have enough time?
Yes, all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Going to the Dominican in August for vacation. Return flight has us coming into Charlottte. Do we have enough time to get thru customs with only a little more than an hour to catch our connecting flight home?
That is just enough time if everything goes perfectly.
I am traveling from Jordan to Savanna,USA through Heathrow airport, my first destination will be CLT airport. can I finalize customs immigration and checked security baggage in Heathrow airport? if not possible ,the connection time between CLT airport and SAV airport is one hour and 40 minutes, is it enough to finalize all checking procedure ?
In Charlotte you have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate. You have enough time if everything goes smoothly.
thank you very much , I hope every things are going smoothly
I am flying from Columbus Ohio to Charlotte and then on to Rome. What will be the procedures for switching from the domestic flight to the international one? Will an hour layover be enough? How about on the return (from Rome to Charlotte to Columbus)? Thanks.
All you have to do in Charlotte on your way to Rome is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. 1 hour is enough time. On the return, in Charlotte, you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate.
Thank you. I think that clarifies our trip going. For returning, will an hour be enough time for the layover in Charlotte? We are planning on having only carry-ons, no checked bags.
