Hi I'm flying in from Dublin Ireland and have a connecting flight to Florida with a2 hour wait will this be enough time from when I get off and get the connection flight. I am going to be traveling with 2 small kids.
Yes, that is plenty of time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin. All you have to do in Charlotte is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
I'm flying with American Airlines arriving to Charlotte at 19:05 and I have to take a flight to Barcelona at 20:40. I'm concern whether I will have time with 90 minutes to go through customes and passport control, I'm Spanish. Please could you advice? I would also like to know whether I have to re-check my suitcase. Thanks
That is just enough time if everything goes smoothly. You will have to go through US Immigration, Customs, and Security in Charlotte.
Thanks for your help. Do I have to re-check?
I believe so but you can ask the agents in Charlotte to make sure.
Hi there- CLT experts, I will be arriving from American Airlines at 1:00pm and I am hoping to make a flight at 2:26pm on AA to MIA. I am a US passport holder and I'll have a checked bag - thoughts? Too tight?
* Sorry, I'll be carrying my bag on - so no need to wait at baggage and re-check. I should have priority marked boarding pass for security too - since I'm an AA frequent flyer - but most not at CLT frequent flyer :)
Hello we will be traveling from Cancun June 18 to come in at 300pm in Charlotte to make a connector to jax at 405, we have two families and planned to check one bag, what do we have to do to go through customs and make our connection , or will we make it????? Thank you
You have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. That is probably not enough time, especially considering flights from Europe will probably be arriving at about the same time and congesting immigration.
Hi, I'll be arriving from Cancun @ 16:45 with a connection to Dublin at 18:15. Flying with AA both legs. 1) Do I have enough time? 2) Do I have to collect my checked bags? 3) Do I go through customs? (AA customer service have told me I have enough time and do not have to re-check bags ... but it would be nicer to get more info here!). Thanks
Yes, you have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Thanks Zap. AA gave me misinformation in that case. Maybe I'll call them in the US to triple check, as it sounded as if I got a call centre in India. Thanks for the info.
Hi! AA change our flight time and we now have 61 mins between our two AA flights in CLT. Is this enough time for us and will our baggage make it to the next plane and our final destination? We're leaving for vacation and are trying to avoid screw ups! We are flying AA First Class/Business Class on both flights.
That is enough time if the first flight is domestic.
Thanks...Do you think our luggage will make the connection too with only 61 mins?
I'm looking at some AA flights that are from London into CLT then on to Miami. It's only giving me 1:40 connection time. Is that enough to get through security and recheck through?
Yes, that is just enough time if everything goes smoothly. In Charlotte you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate.
