Today Midway TSA was horrible. 5:21am for a 6:10 flight and it took 45 minutes. Who imagines a 45 min wait at 5:30 in the morning. Missed my flight.. I too, would return to O'Hare, since I live closer, if Midway doesn't improve.

Security is awful at Midway - it is much better at O'hare. I advise people to arrive at least 1.5 hours before their flight from Midway.

Really? I have never had a problem going through security at Midway, while I find security at O'Hare to be usually a nightmare, no matter what time of day I'm traveling.

We love Potbelly's. The food is fresh and they serve it fast. There's lots of sandwich selections that are unique to Potbelly's. Love , love it!

  • Security line wait times Southwest

I'm flying to Ontario via Las Vegas tomorrow at 5PM. What has Midway's security line wait times looked like lately? SWA on the 800 line suggested 2 hours, and when I flew in a few days ago, the SWA security lines were jammed. Was that an anomily or was that the face of Midway?

Nasty winter weather caused many delays & cancellations.

Security lines at MDW are very bad except late in the evening when they're just regular bad.

Even when the line is long the staff moves customers along. Food is good too.

The pizza here is not fresh it is frozen and heated up. For $5:50 a slice it was awful.

Do you have to go outside for a dog to relieve themselves

Pet relief areas are usually on the Terminal's sides. Ask information at the Arrivals level.

I'm flying to MDW on Porter Airlines from Toronto, arriving at 4:10 pm on a Thursday. I have to catch a Southwest flight at 5:50. Do I have time to clear customs, get my bag, get to the SWA gate, and recheck the bag?

Make sure you clear U.S. Customs at Toronto Airport - saving you time at MDW. What you need to do: Find out from Porter Airlines if they transfer your bags to your connecting Southwest flight. If not, you need on arrival at MDW go down to the baggage claim, pick up your bag & re-check it in with Southwest Airlines. Note that the passenger terminal has Concourses A, B & C. -Porter uses A gates, Southwest uses C gates. You have sufficient time.

Will we have to go through security when changing planes at Midway?

At MDW, which has one passenger terminal - Concourses A, B & C can be reached by foot from the food court called 'Midway Blvd.' on the upper level of the terminal. No need to go through security.

I have 35 min to change airplane , my Flight 533 from Reno NV, next flight #1446 To Orlando. How long wil take to get from Gate B24 to Gate A4B???

When arriving at Midway Airport at gate B24, walk toward the 'Midway Blvd' - a triangle with three concourses at each end: enter Concourse A and walk to your gate A48. Hurry!

  • Enough layover time?

If I'm flying in on Southwest, arriving at 7:45AM, and the connecting Southwest flight is at 8:25AM on a Thursday - is that enough time to get from one gate to the other?

At Midway Airport, Southwest uses both Concourses A & B with corresponding gates. You may have to walk to another concourse - look at your ticket & on arrival at MDW at overhead screens to see which gate you depart from. Either way you have enough time.

At MDW Southwest uses both Concourses A & B, while all other airlines use Concourse A.

is it possible to make a 6:55pm arrival Southwest to a connecting flight Compass DBA Delta Connection 7:20pm on a Tuesday night?

At MDW, you will arrive and depart from Concourse A, which has gates A1-19 & a separate gateway to gates A4A & A4B. You have enough time.
