    Very bad people running the midway car tow operation....thugs.... prices not promulgated....very insolent types of people running that operation....shld be monitored and checked by responsible persons...

    When I arrived at MDW today at noon, the security lines were really backed up. It looked an hour or more to get through. Is this typical? How early do I need to arrive for a 1 pm flight? Thanks for any info.

     

    Yes, that is typical. Security at MDW is awful. I would arrive at 11:30

    There haven't been significant changes despite what the blowhards on the news/government are saying. 90 minutes should be OK for a domestic flight.

    Midway really needs to train their employees about "great customer service". Most of the employees that we asked for assistance were unfriendly, did not smile when they greeted us and made us feel like we were bothering them. The uniforms that some employees were wearing looked as if they slept in them. Overall very non professional. I would rate this airline a D-.

    As a frequent flyer and having passed through Midway's security line yesterday, I just want to mention how ineffecient and illogical the set up is. I understand that this has been modeled after a national standard for airport security lines, however, the Midway set up has one major flaw which I have not encountered at any other airports. After having your credentials verifed, all passengers must then enter the maze which leads to the scanners. However, the only entry to this maze is on the left hand side, so all passengers on who have lined up on the right hand side must first wait for the those on the left to enter the maze. this results in the left hand lane moving much more quickly than the the right lanes and also provides the opportunity for passengers to get very vexed and angry that people who have not been waiting in line nearly as long are passing through first.

     

    I agree that the set-up is insane. I've gone through dozens of airport security lines. Midway's set-up is the absolute worst!
