From ORD to Kalamazoo with a small dogMay 12, 201340Flying from Finland to ORD in June with a small 7 pound dog and we'll need to get to Kalamazoo. Have found out that neither Amtrak nor Greyhound accept animals. Flying and some car services are quite expensive. Any pointers for an affortable transportation are highly appreciated.***posted on Sat, May 11[ Reply ][ Like ]If you google 'Transport Chicago Ord to Kalamazoo, you get, among other options a taxi fare quote of $58 (plus customary tip).sumay13posted on Sun, May 12$58 is awfully cheap for such a long trip. Can you drive? If so it would probably be cheapest to do a one-way car rental from ORD to Kalamazoo airport.ZAPposted on Sun, May 12Unfortunately I don't have a licence. And yes 58$ sounds too good to be true as all companies I found charge around 300$. But will check it out. Thankschkposted on Sun, May 12

How to Get to Kankakee, ilMay 6, 201310Need to know the name of the Bus Service that goes from Ohare to Kankakee, il........I tried all 7 of the ones on the ohare ground transportation and none of them go there...Anyone know the name of the one bus service that does?Traveler1posted on Mon, May 6There is no scheduled direct bus service from O'Hare to Kankakee. 303 Taxi offers flat rate taxi service for $103 http://www.303taxi.com/local/kankakee.html If you're looking for something cheap that will take a little longer, you can take the CTA blue line to downtown chicago (Clinton station) and take the Greyhound bus for $14-$26 or Amtrak ($7-$18) to Kankakee. It does appear there used to be scheduled bus service from O'Hare to Kankakee operated by a company called Lincolnland Expess, but it shut down in 2012.ZAPposted on Mon, May 6

ohare to gary airport optionsNov 20, 2012304 of us need to get to Gary airport from Ohare midday weekday..what are my options with pricesrjposted on Sun, Nov 4How much time do you have? Cheapest option would be to take the CTA Blue Line to Clark & Lake, walk 5 blocks to Randolph St. Metra/Millennium Station and take the South Shore Line to the Clark Rd./Gary Airport Station (which is 1.5 miles from the GYY terminal). I estimate this would take about 3 hours. The next cheapest would probably be to rent a car from Enterprise or Hertz (the two car rental options at Gary) one-way from O'Hare to Gary. This would probably take 1-1.5 hours if you leave O'Hare before 3 PM. A taxi or shuttle would run about $100 and probably be the easiest.ZAPposted on Wed, Nov 7Very useful information, you worth it. Thanks for sharing.shofurlimoposted on Tue, Nov 20

south shore railroad to ORDOct 17, 201221Taking a flight out of ORD I live in MICHIGAN what stop do I get off at to take the blue line to ORD? Many thankse kposted on Wed, Oct 31 person likes this post [ Like ]The CTA 'L' Blue Line arrives at ORD at Terminal 5; I presume, the stop is called either O'Hare Airport, ORD Airport or ORD Terminal 5.thoct12posted on Thu, Oct 4Actually, Terminal 5 is the only terminal you can't walk directly to from the CTA station. The CTA station is located underground in between terminals 1, 2, and 3 and has an underground walkway to each of them. The Blue Line (the only train in the station) goes directly to several stations downtown.zippyposted on Wed, Oct 17

How to get to Kalamazaoo, MIOct 30, 201220Is there a busline out of Chicago ORD that goes to Kalamazoo, MI? Need a way to get back to WMU in Michigan after flying into ORD.***posted on Mon, Oct 1It is best to pass by at the Information counter near the baggage claim to find out about transportation options. Note that the Bus/Shuttle Center is on the ground level (Level 1 near elevator center 3) of the elevated parking garage. From Chicago's Union Station you can take the Amtrak train to Kalamazoo (see: http://local.search.yahoo.com/search?p=amtrak+station&addr=Chicago+IL§ion=map (look at number 1). You can also rent a car - the disance is 164 miles on I-94.tuoct12posted on Tue, Oct 2

how to go to louisvilleJul 30, 201210I am an inexperienced traveler to US and I will arrive in Us through ORD; my destination is Louisville KY; what is the best way to go to Louisville with 2 baggage each around 23 kg***posted on Sun, Jul 29Note that Kentucky is far from the State of Illinois, where you arrive. Of course, you could have booked your flight via ORD to the Louisville Airport and take from there the bus to your end destination (The TARC public bus (502-588-1234) stops on the island on the east end of the terminal) - however, the cost of the two bags for the second leg of our journey is more than taking a bus. Greyhound bus service would run between the main bus station in Chicago to Louisville, but with two bags, you are best off to take a taxi to the station. For Greyhound bus service visit greyhound.com. Note also that on arrival at ORD you need to go through passport check, pick up your bags and go through customs clearance.mojul12posted on Mon, Jul 30

Terminal 5 -> BusOct 30, 201220Hi ! I will arrive at 11:30 am next monday at the O'Hare airport, from Mexico at terminal 5 (and I am french). I need to take a bus to Champaign then. It is possible to take it at 3 pm at terminal 5 ? (last time, I spend a lot of time with immigration stuffs...)Gabyposted on Wed, May 23Yes, at ORD you can spend quite some time going through the immigration process. However you have plenty of time. I presume you know which bus to take to Champain. If not, these are the transportation choices: 1. Trains: (a) Subway trains from CTA 'L' Blue Line depart underground of Terminal 5, and Metra North Central's commuter trains stop at the O'Hare Transfer station, which connects to the Airport Transit System by a shuttle bus. (b) the CTA Orange Line links directly into Chicago's Loop with connections to all other lines in the loop. Other regional train and bus information may be obtained by going to the website for the Chicago Area Regional Transportation Authority. 2. Buses: The Bus/Shuttle Center is on the ground level (Level 1 near elevator center 3) of the elevated parking garage. This center is the central pick-up facility for regional and shuttle buses - some regional buses pick up at Terminal 5. Pace bus picks up at the "Kiss and Fly" area.thapr12posted on Thu, May 24
