I arrive at ORLY at 8:15 pm for a 9 hr. 45 minute layover (leaving again at 6am)... I don't have a lot of money for a hotel, but I do need a room to practice. Is there anywhere I can practice in the airport with a mute? Or maybe a hotel is the best option if I can find one for around $60. I don't see the point in spending more if I need to leave it at 4am to catch my international flight. Need ideas. Thankyou so much!

Your post has conflicting Airports - I presume you arrive at Paris ORY and will connect to Chicago ORD. I suggest you google either "Orly Airport hotels" or "Chicago ORD hotels".

Hunband arrives ORD on United 3704 from El Paso 11:00 AM and is leaving at 6:07 PM on United 972 for Brussels. Chicago family would like to join him for lunch. Is there a nice restaurant OUTSIDE of security where they could alll meet? He knows he will need to go through security again. Is that okay?

  • Where can we stow our luggage?

We had to change our departure times so we have almost 6 hrs to visit downtown Chicago and some of its attractions but we dont want to haul our luggage along with us. Are there lockers or somewhere to securely leave our luggage until its time to board the airlines?

I see no listing; however you can ask one of the Volunteers in red T-Shirts and a 'May I Help' sign making their rounds in the terminal.

We have a 12 hour layover ? Can you suggest anything. We fly into Term 1 frm Miami and fly out of Term 5 to Dublin with Aer Lingus.....

    1. Make sure you have your bags properly tagged, indicating all three airport codes so they will automatically arrive at your end destination. 2. Look at your ticket and see what gate you depart from. Terminal 5 has only one concourse with M gates: Concourse M wraps around the concessions Court to the right with gates M12-M21, and to the left with gates M7-M1, extending in the center to gates M8-M1 (prepare yourself for long walks from security check to gates). 3. Visit http://www.ifly.com/chicago-ohare-international-airport - Look for 'Layover Ideas' under 'Quick Links' at left. Also look up "Ground Transportation" on top of the page for your options to the City.

  • Terminal 3 Restaurants

I'll be flying into Terminal 3 on American Airlines with a layover and would like to meet my brother. My layover is less than two hours, so I don't want to leave the terminal. My brother will not have a ticket and won't be able to go through the security checkpoint. Are there any restaurants in the "public area" before passing through security at Terminal 3?

All restaurants seem to be in the secured area. Meet at the baggage claim level's information counter and decide where to go from there. You do not have much time, depending where to have to transfer to.

I would like to meet up with my sister in the airport during my layover. She will not have a ticket. I'm flying US Air. What terminal is that in? Do I have to leave the terminal and return to the main ticketing / security area in order to meet her? If so, where is a good place to meet? I'm leaving Monday, August 8. Thank you.

US Air is in Terminal 2. Best place to meet up is either just before the security checkpoint on level 2 or the baggage claim (find out flight number, look at screen above baggage carousel for that flight).
