We are travelling tomorrow morning from LGA -ORD -GRB. We have a 1hr 20 layover, no checked baggage and are flying into Term 3 which is also where we are flying out from!! Is this going to be enough time?? First time in US and we are going to see the Packers I'm super nervous and don't want to miss the flight!!
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is walk from one gate to the other.
We are planning a trip with a layover from LAX to either ORD or EWR. Before I make the reservation could you give me your recommended layover for ORD or EWR considering their airport connections on United. Thanks
ORD is a bit less delay prone. Also in Newark some connections between United and United Express require taking a shuttle to another terminal. At ORD all United gates are walkable inside security.
Thanks for the answer about ORD airport. How much time would you recommend for a domestic layover at ORD and LAX on United? I do not want to worry about missing a flight as we will be making three flights in one day. Thanks
I'll be flying to Dayton from Des Moines, layover in Chicago. both flights are with United. Is 1h15 layover enough? I am an EU citizen. Do I have to go through immigration again and re-check my baggage? Thanks!
Fly with United from Boston at 9{ldelim}20, arrival ORD at 11:01 with 1 h: 47 min layover. Then transfer w/ United (ticket already on hand) to Beijing. Since often delay in ORD, I wonder the time enough or not? How about the distance between the two terminal ? Gates ?
.
You don't have to change terminals. Both flights will be in Terminal 1. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have plenty of time.
I have a layover from Narita to ORD (ANA) and a connecting flight with United to Columbus, Ohio with 2 hours to make the connection. I am not a US citizens travelling with Visa, do you think 2 hours is enough given it is a single reservation?
That's just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I get into to Chicago and have 45 mins to make my flight to Toronto. It says I have to change terminals. Is this enough time? I am Canadian and checking no bags.
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
flying from Knoxville tn on 9/3 on way to Dublin. 10 hour layover. that is labor day weekend. should we consider leaving the airport?
You can. The CTA Train takes about an hour to get from O'Hare to downtown. You'll want to be back at O'Hare about 2.5 hours before your flight.
thanks for your response. we lived in Naperville for 25 years before moving to Tennessee. I really didn't explain my question well. I know that realistically there is time to go to the city.....I am concerned about labor day weekend airport crowds and new security protocol. flew last year to Paris, but do much has happened since then. I assume our luggage will be checked thru from Knoxville to Dublin, but one never knows.
There is no "new security protocol" and labor day isn't a busy travel day.
Flying from Denver, Colorado (American Airlines) to take flight to Abu Dhabi. Does transit time 1 hour 55 min is sufficient to take the next flight?
Do I need to go for security screening again at Chicago airport?
If both flights are on the same reservation that is just enough time. Yes, you will have to go through security again in Terminal 5.
I will be taking a train from STL to chicago and will have about 8 hours before my flight. Are there any ideas on where/how i can store my bags during this time?
There is no baggage storage at O'Hare.
I'll be travelling from Dallas to Singapore, with a 7 hours layover in ORD. Can I actually exit from the ORD airport to visit the city and come back 2 hours before depature to Singapore? Thanks.
Yes, you can go where you want, although 7 hours isn't a ton of time. It takes an hour to get downtown and another hour to get back and you need to get back 2 hours before your flight, so that leaves only 2-3 hours.
