Term 5 to Term 3Jun 18, 201310Arriving from Spain on friday 21st. AA at 14:10 and departing to SFO 16:30. is that gap enough to clear customs and change terms (from 5 to 3)? I've been told a buggage drop facility is within term 5 after customs clearance. Is that true?IDAposted on Tue, Jun 18[ Reply ][ Like ]

Connection from Terminal 3 to terminal 5Jun 13, 201320Hi, I will be reaching Chicago ORD by American Airlines (Terminal 3) and will be departing by ETIHAD (terminal5). I have 1 hour 30 min time during this transit. I will be traveling with a 18 year old Kid . So could some one please tell me if I can make it in time.Suryaposted on Thu, Jun 13It's possible but you'll have to hurry and hope your first flight is on-time. If your tickets were bought on one reservation American may be able to get you your boarding pass for the Etihad flight at your origination. In Chicago, you will have to go out of Terminal 3 to the ATS train, take it one stop to Terminal 5, and go back through security.ZAPposted on Thu, Jun 13

However, you will have to hurry. It could take about 20 minutes to walk between gates.ZAPposted on Thu, Jun 131 person likes this post [ Like ]

95 minute layoverJun 11, 201320I arrive in ord at 9pm in terminal 1 with united, will I have enough time to get to terminal 2 with Lufthansa, to frankfurt Germany, going through customs? also do I need to worry about getting checked luggage at the change?ksruggerposted on Mon, Jun 10Terminals 1 & 2 have a walkway at post-security areas of the departures level - follow signs - you will arrive at your departure terminal T1's upper level. (Only international arrivals at US airports need to go through customs). Both United & Lufthansa are members of the Star Alliance - your bags will automatically be transferred. Note: your domestic United flight arrives in T2, your international Lufthansa flight departs from T1 which has Concourses B & C with corresponding gates.tujun13posted on Tue, Jun 11

international connectionJun 10, 201320Will I have enough time to connect from United express-arrive at 8:20 pm Wed night and fly out at 9:10pm Swiss international..do not have to recheck bags. First time flying international, do not know my way aroundworried momposted on Sun, Jun 9You will have to change terminals by taking the ATS train from T1 or T2 to T5 for your departure on Swiss. The connection will take you 30-40 minutes so there's very little room for error.ZAPposted on Mon, Jun 10Note that Terminal 1 has B & C gates; Terminal 2 has E & F gates. Terminal 5 has M gates M1-M21 divided into three gateways around the concessions court: M12-M21; M7-M1, & M8-M11. You arrive via ATS train at Terminal 5's ATS train station across from upper-level roadway - upon entering T5 you will be on the ticketing level, proceed up to the departures level & go through security check and on to your gate. Hurry!mojun13posted on Mon, Jun 10

Is 50 mins enough time?Jun 7, 201310Next week I have an upcoming flight from Fairbanks, Ak to Pittsburgh, Pa with a 50 minute layover at ORD with united my question is will this be enough time to make my connecting flight? I'm a little anxious flying already trying to get back home for a surprise visit I just do not want the surprise on me and miss my flight! Thanks in advanceAvs611posted on Fri, Jun 7Yes, that should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. You will arrive in Terminal 1 and if your flight to Pittsburgh is on United mainline it will also be in Terminal 1, if it's on United Express it could be in Terminal 1 or 2 (but you can walk between the two terminals without having to go through security)ZAPposted on Fri, Jun 7

T5 to T3 in 50 minutes?May 30, 201310I flying on Aer Lingus #123 scheduled to arrive on Saturday June 8 at 1.45pm. I have a connecting flight out to SFO on Virgin American in Terminal 3 at 6.50PM but there is an earlier flight at 2.35PM. Do you think there's any chance I might catch the earlier flight at 2.35PM. I will have only carry on luggage and I think the Aer Lingus flight pre-clears customs in Dublin.lsdposted on Thu, May 30

CVG TO ORD TO DOHMay 30, 201320I'm traveling from CVG to ORD by AA. After 2 hours, I'll go from ORD to DOH by Qatar Airways. Am I going to claim my baggage in this connection?ORDposted on Thu, May 30Most likely you need to claim & re-check-in your bag as AA is, but Qatar is not yet (but by year-end or early '14) member of the Oneworld alliance - but check with AA. You arrive at ORD at Terminal 3 (T3) and depart from T5.thmay13posted on Thu, May 30Most likely you need to claim & re-check-in your bag as AA is, but Qatar is not yet (but by year-end or early '14) member of the Oneworld alliance - but check with AA. You have a choice of taking the tunnel connecting all terminals or the ATS train, but need to go through security check at T5 and on to your connecting M gate.thmay13posted on Thu, May 30
