1. First let me assure you that you have plenty of time - just make sure to be at your connecting gate are no later than 30 mins before scheduled flight. 3. Make sure when checking in at your original airport that your airline will transfer your bags to the connecting airline - not all airlines do that, in which case you would need to take along your bags and check them in at Terminal 3. Also make sure your bags are properly tagged with all three airport codes. 3. As an international arrival, you you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag. 4. Thereafter, to get from the International Terminal 5 to the domestic Terminal 3: proceed up one level to the Airport Transit System and tae the free shuttle train to Terminal 3, taking a few minutes only.

I am an American citizen and every time I have flown internationally upon arriving at the 1st US airport, I have always had to retrieve my luggage and go through security check and customs and check my baggage back in to continue my scheduled flights. (Even when all my flights are with the same airline) If you flights are on time you should have no problem doing this and getting to your next gate within 1 1/2 - 2 hours)

Terminal 5 at ORD is the international terminal - the ATS shuttle train runs from there every few mins making it loop run coutner-clockwise (T1 being the last stop) Between T5's ATS level the and the domestic terminals 1, 2 & 3, the ATS shuttle train runs every few minutes - it makes its loop run counter clockwise (T1 is the last stop). Note that T5 has M gates surrounding the concessions court - gates M12-21, M7-M1, & M8-M11.

IIf I have take by baggage to T3 from T5, how do i take my 5 bags there with my 2 kids, in trolley on ATS or can i get the porter at T5? Plz

The L train station at ORD is underground at Terminal 5.

However, on your return from Ireland, use their U.S. customs clearance so you won't have to do it when arriving back at U.S. 2. yes!!! i am a UAL f/a and i was based in ord. you will have plenty of time if you are not late in your arrival. have fun!

When checking in at Austin Straubel Airport make sure your bags have all three airport codes on their tags. Also inquire there if UA transfers to Swiss Air - not all airlines do, in which case you would have to retrieve your bag at either Terminal 1 or 2 (United serves both - check your ticket - T1 has C & B gates, T2 has E & F gates. The ATS shuttle train connects these terminals.

You arrive at ORD in Terminal 3 - I presume that by 'Swedish air' you mean SAS Scandinavian Airlines, which uses Terminal 5. When entering the Arrivals level of Terminal 5 you may want to go to the information desk to find out where you can pick up your dog. (or call the airline).

1. United uses Terminal 1 for all domestic flights and for international departures, and Terminal 2 for domestic flights only. (T1 has B & C gates, T2 has E & F gates - look at your ticket to see which gate you arrive at (i.e., C32). Also check the overhead screen for your departing flight's number, gate & time. 2. Air Canada uses Terminal 2. A pedestrian tunnel connects both terminals (but you need to pass security check). Note that gate areas of the terminals are not connected, but at T1, you can walk within the secured area to T2 where you again arrive in the secured area of the departures level. 43 mins is very tight - hurry!
