Jan 25, 201210WE ARE ARRIVING FROM LAX ON UNITED AIRLINES 564 TO CHICAGO O'HARE AIRPORT (ORD) AND HAVE TO TRANSFER TO UNITED AIRLINES 6046 TO OTTAWA. WE HAVE 49 MINUETS. PLEASE GUIDE US. THANKSKISHORposted on Wed, Jan 25[ Reply ][ Like ]Terminal 1 is served by "all domestic flights and international departures of United". Therefore, you will not have to change terminals. Terminal 1 has Concourses B and C - look at your ticket to see which gate you arrive at & depart from (i.e., B10, C30, etc.) Also, on arrival look a the above-head screens for your connecting flight's gate & departure time and simply follow signs to your next gate.1039posted on Wed, Jan 25

changing terminalsJan 24, 201230we arrive at 7:13 am at Terminal 2 and our connecting flight leaves from Terminal 2 at 8:00 am. does this leave us enough time so that we don't miss our Terminal 2 flight?nanposted on Tue, Jan 24Made a mistake, we arrive in Terminal 2 at 7:13 AM and leave from Terminal 1 at 8:00 AM..... do we have enough time to make connection? Thanksnanposted on Tue, Jan 24is United and United Express in the same terminal? Have 45min between flightsjudithposted on Tue, Jan 24Terminal 2's gateway area splits in a Y formation between Concourses E and F. Concourses E & F both have 14 gates – with gates F11A,B & C being on the Lower Level. Upon arrival check your departure flight on the above-head screens - then proceed to your gate following signs. You have enough time.HH39posted on Tue, Jan 24

transfer timesJan 20, 201210I arrive at terminal 5 at 1708 from Ireland and have to take a connecting flight departing at 1915 from terminal 1. will I have enough time to make my connecting flight? Do I have to collect bags or can they be checked all the way through to my final destination.Annetteposted on Fri, Jan 201. As an international arrival you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and re-check-in your bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination.) NOTE: not all airlines transfer to connecting flights of another airline - check with your airline in Ireland - if not, you need to take your bags along to T1 and re-check them in there. Count on 45 mins. 2. After exiting the Federal Inspection and luggage re-check areas, proceed up one level to the Airport Transit System where you can take the ATS train to T1, probably another 15-20 mins to your gate. You have plenty of time.MUCposted on Fri, Jan 20

Connecting International flightJan 19, 201210We are fllying in from Omaha on American Eagle and are connnecting with Aer Lingus to Dublin in February. Do we need to collect our checked bags and go to another terminal and check in for our Aer Lingus flight? If so, what do we need to do?Jeanieposted on Wed, Jan 181. You arrive at Terminal 3 & depart from Terminal 5. 2. Only international arrivals need to go through customs clearance and re-check-in their bags for connecting flight. 3. You need to find out from American Eagle if they automatically transfer your bags to Terminal 5's departure gates (not all airlines do, in which case you need to claim your bag at T3 and lug it along to T5 where you re-check it in (allowing for extra time).1039posted on Thu, Jan 19

Jan 17, 201210I'm flying in with United Airlines from Knoxville going international via Asiana. Do I have to recheck-in my luggage or does the United automatically transfer my luggage to Asiana airlines? When I get to T5, how will I go to Asiana Airlines?kittyposted on Tue, Jan 171. United serves both terminals T1 and T2 - your ticket will show which terminal - T1 has A & B gates; T2 has E & F gates. Asiana is in T3 which has G, H, K & L gates. 2. When checking in your bag, ask if United forwards your bags or call United. If bags are being forwarded, you can take the ATS train on the ATS level of all terminals to get to your T3 gate area. If not, you need to go, after arrival at ORD, to claim your bags and either go back with them up to the ATS level to catch the train and proceed down to the baggage check-in counters, or go down to the underground tunnel connecting the 3 terminals, go up to T3's check-in counter, check in your bags and go through security and on to your gate.1039posted on Tue, Jan 17

changing terminalsJan 14, 201210how do we get from terminal 5 to terminal 1 after arriving from a canadian flightcmposted on Fri, Jan 131. T5 with Concourse M is the International Terminal; all international arrivals, with the exception of flights from airports with border preclearance, are handled at Terminal 5. - I presume your Canadian departure airport has NO U.S. clearance facilities, in which case you need to first go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). This procedures takes between 30-45 mins. On Terminal 5's ATS level take the ATS shuttle train to Terminal 1, which is its last stop - taking another 30 minutes. Terminal 1 has on the upper level Concourse B, and from there connects by walkway at its center to Concourse C. (your ticket most likely will indicate concourse & gate - i.e., B12, C10).HH39posted on Sat, Jan 14

Terminal TransferJan 3, 201210We are flyin in to Terminal 5 from London, transfering to another flight to Denver from Terminal 3. Both flights are with AA - do we have to retrieve our bags and re-check them in or will they be transferred for us? If we have to retrieve them and recheck in do we do this at T3 or can we do it at T5. We have 3 hours between flights - this should be long enough shouldn't it?LMMposted on Tue, Jan 31. On arrival you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and then re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). 2. Thereafter, proceed up one level to the Airport Transit System where you can easily connect to Terminal 3 for your domestic flight. A free shuttle train running every few minutes can take you there (T3 is the first stop). Estimated time between arrival at T5 and arrival at T3 - at the most 70 mins.1039posted on Tue, Jan 3

terminal 1 to terminal 2Dec 31, 201110We have only 40 minutes between flights. What is the best way to go from terminal 1 t terminal 2?huskersposted on Fri, Dec 301.Terminal 1 (T1) has B & C gates, while T2 has E & F gates. You can walk from T1's secured area to T2's F gates; 2. You can also, on arrival, go down to the arrivals level, and take the tunnel to T2, where you would have to go through security check again before proceeding to your gates. 3. Note that T2's gateway area splits in a Y formation between Concourses E and F. Concourses E & F both have 14 gates – with gates F11A,B & C being on the Lower Level. Look at your ticket to see which gate you depart from (i.e., C10, F10).MUCposted on Sat, Dec 31

Dec 29, 201132I have to switch from Terminal 2(US Airways) to Terminal 5 in order to board an International flight. Flying from Chattanooga to ORD, I have US Airways which takes me to Terminal 3 but then at Terminal 5, I have to board an Etihad Airways. Will my check in Luggage be transferred direcly ?? (As my domestic and international tickets were booked independantly). Thanks in Advance.SHREEposted on Tue, Dec 272 people like this post [ Like ]When you check in, at Chattanooga -ask if US Airways will transfer your bags to the Etihad flight at ORD. It all depends on the airline - also make sure your bags are being tagged properly for stopover & end destination. If US Airways does not extend this service, you need to proceed on arrival at ORD to the baggage claim area and retrieve your bags. Either way take the ATS train to Terminal 5, where you will either have to re-check-in your bag, or proceed straight to your gate - prepare for long walks at T5's gates, which wrap around the concession court (gates M12-21, M7-M1, and M8-M11) - follow signs.HH39posted on Tue, Dec 27i have to switch from terminal 3 to terminal 5 in order to board an international flight Etihad airways . Domestic to International Gate ChangeJan 26, 201220I'm flying on American Airlines (domestic flight) and getting a connecting flight to Europe - how much time should I plan for gate changes (likely going from what terminals)? Will I have to be going through security twice if changing between terminals?KeithWposted on Wed, Dec 21If your flight to Europe is also on American Airlines, you arrive and depart from Terminal 3. However, this terminal has Concourses G, H, K & L with corresponding gates (K1-K20, H3-18, G1-21 & G13-17 on the lower level of the concourse). Look at your ticket to see which gate you depart from. On arrival, look at the overhead screen and find your flight, with departure time and gate. Then follow signs to your gate. No security check necessary.1039posted on Thu, Dec 22
