I will have 1 hr and 45 minutes to get from a United domestic flt Terminal 1 to the International Terminal (United to Rome). Is that enough time? I have TSA and am Platinum with United, which helps.

No United flights depart from the International Terminal. Your flight to Rome will depart from Terminal 1. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have plenty of time.

will arrive AC/UA in Terminal 1 and go to AC/UA in terminal 2. I will have checked baggage. Austin to Chicago to Athens. Will have 47 minutes between flights. AC3969 to AC4814 to AC1900. Will I have to go thru security. Will my baggage transfer in time. THANKS joe

Terminal 1 and 2 at ORD are connected inside security by a walkway.

Thank you, Also, my wife is very slow walker, what is the best way to obtain a ride for her on a cart. Are they available between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. We will have to hurry.

The only way to ride in a cart is by requesting wheelchair service.

  • lay over time an hour

There was an involuntary schedule change and my lay over time is only a bit more than an hour. I arrived at ORD (from MSP) at 10:48am and my next flight is an international one (Korean Air) which leaves on 12:35 pm. Is it enough time or do I have to change my flight I bought tickets separately and wonder if I have too check in my baggage again.

That should barely be enough time if you do have to claim and transfer your baggage. Delta may check your bags through to Korean as Delta and Korean are skyteam parters if you show your Korean confirmation at MSP.

Hi I will be travelling from Augusta, GA to Chicago via Delta which lands on Terminal 2. I will have checked in baggage and then have a connection in almost 2 hrs with Air India from Terminal 5. I have never been to this airport before. Can someone please guide me how to go from Terminal 2 to 5 . And how much time would it take? Thanks.

You just follow signs to the ATS Train to Terminal 5. If you are purchasing two separate tickets you will have to transfer your bags yourself from Terminal 2 to check them with Air India in Terminal 5. 2 hours should be definitely enough time if your bags are checked through and barely enough time if they are not.

Thanks. Yes I have seprate tickets. Will I need to go through security check before terminal 5. Or the only security check I will gothru will be at terminal 5 when I am boarding airIndia.

The only security check will be in Terminal 5 between the Air India check-in counter and the gate.

I'm flying with my pregnant wife from ORD to LAX. Layover time 43 minutes. Going from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1. Will this be enough time? Do we have to go through security checks again? It says we need to be there 15 minutes prior to boarding but I do not see how that is possible.

You are connecting in ORD? Terminal 2 and 1 are connected by a walkway inside security. It is quite possible assuming the first flight is on-time. The 15 minute warning is just a warning not to dilly-dally.

Yes. Connecting in ORD, coming from DTW. Thanks for the response!

what is best way to get to terminal 2 from terminal 1 for a connecting flightwithout having to go through security. Travelling with a senior.

There is a walkway inside security between them, it connects to Terminal 1 near the low B gates, around B3.

Hello. My 14-year old is flying in with a group from France. Later the same afternoon, her siblings and I will land in ORD on a domestic connection. I'd like for her to meet us and take the last leg home with us. Is this do-able for someone is accustomed to travel and airports but has never done it alone? She would need to leave the international terminal and meet us in the AA terminal. Alternatively, could I meet her at in the international terminal since I'll be a ticketed passenger (although not international)?

You could meet her on the lower level of the International Terminal where she will exit customs. However, I think a 14 year old is capable of following signs to the ATS Train to Terminal 3 and taking it one stop.

Can you transfer from Terminal 1 to Terminal 5 without going through security again? How?

No, you cannot. What airline are you flying out of Terminal 5?

    Thanks....Swiss Air

  • Is 40 min enough connection time for a United flight?
    Apr 29, 2015

thinking of booking a united flight from Den to YQB (Quebec) with connection through ORD but layover is only 40 min and I'll have luggage. Is that enough time for me and bags to transfer?

That should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. However, I personally would try to get an earlier flight from Denver because as you know there aren't many flights from the US to YQB.

    Thanks!

  • Questions about travelling between Terminal 2 and Terminal 3

Hello I land in Terminal 2, with an AirCanada flight at 10:41am, and my next flight is is Terminal 3 at 11:50am with a US Airways flight. Will I have have enough time to get to the flight?? And will I have to get my luggage or go through security? Thank you.

Just to clarify my above comment. The tickets were all purchased together, it is a layover.

If the tickets were bought together you should not have to claim your bags or go through security. You can walk from T2 to T3 inside security. Just walk to the base of T2 and make a right.

Also, yes, you should have enough time if your first flight is on-time and also you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Canada.

Hello there! I have a flight from Berlin (TXL) to Chicago and then a domestic connection to Miami (all in one tricket) I arrive to terminal 5 and then departure from terminal 3 Do I have to claim my baggage, and recheck? I am also not the U.S. citize so I have to go through emigration and custom at ORD am i right? Is 1 hour 55 mins enough time to catch the flight to MIA?

Yes, in ORD you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, then re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then take the ATS Train to Terminal 3 and go through security. You should have enough time.

I will be landing at terminal 2 at 11:25 am and my connecting flight will be taking off from Terminal 5 at 13:30. Will 2 hrs & 5 mins time enough to take my connecting intenational flight. please someone give me sincere advise . I ma really scared.

What airlines are you flying? Were your tickets purchased separately or together? Will you have checked bags? I can't really answer this question without that info.

Air canada from Toronto pearson Intn"l airport and the thru Airindia to delhi from terminal 5 I purchased my tickets togethet i will have hand bags and we r 4 people

That should be enough time. You will preclear US immigration and customs in Toronto. All you have to do is take the ATS train from T2 to T5, get your Air India boarding passes if you don't already have them, then go through security.

I arrive at 5:40pm in Terminal 5 SAS airlines and need to get to Terminal 1 United to catch a 9:06pm to St. Louis. Tickets were purchased separately. Will this give me enough time to connect?

That should be plenty of time.

i have a 40 minute layover between my united flight from detroit to my united flight to tokyo. all is in terminal one. will this be enough time? will there be a security check at ohare?

There is no security check at O'Hare, all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. Your flight from Detroit may actually arrive in Terminal 2 but it is connected to Terminal 1 inside security.
