handicappedOct 18, 201211My 2 sisters and I will be arriving at Ord from stl on American. One is in wheelchair. We fly to Ireland on Aer Lingus. What is best way to get there?granny72posted on Wed, Oct 17[ Reply ][ Like ]You arrive at ORD via AA at Terminal 3 - from there take the ATS train (look for signs) to your connecting Terminal 5, served by Air Lingus. T5 has only one Concourse M, wrapping around concession court, and has to the left gates M12-M21 to the right; to the right gates M7-M1, and extends northward in the center to gates M8-M11. It is important that you check with AA as to whether they will transfer your bags to the AirLingus flight - if not, you would have to claim your bags at T3 and re-check them in at T5! The wheelchair will be stored in the hull of the aircraft when you arrive at the gate. Note that on your return to ORD, you will need to go through the customs clearance process.thoct12posted on Thu, Oct 181 person likes this post [ Like ]

how to i connect from terminal 5 to 1Oct 9, 201210i am travelling from london to de moines. chicago is the connecting airport. how do i go to terminal 1 and where do i do my immigrationsjposted on Mon, Oct 8On arrival at ORD you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes), then proceed up one level to the Airport Transit System (ATS) station and take the train to your connecting terminal 1. At T5 you find the ATS train station across from the upper-level roadway - signs will guide you.tuoct12posted on Tue, Oct 9

unitedNov 4, 201230hi looking to book aflight and there is only 50 mins between transfers , im landing fron san fran and flying on to london both are with united airlines , would it be possible ?biddyposted on Fri, Oct 5You will arrive at ORD either at domestic Terminals 1 or 2 - follow signs to the ATS shuttle train, which runs every few minutes between Terminal 5's ATS level the and domestic terminals 1, 2 & 3. Terminal 5 has Concourse M, which wraps around the concessions Court; to the left (gates M12-M21) and to the right (gates M7-M1), and extends northward in the center to gates M8-M11. Make sure to look on arrival at overhead screens to find your connecting flight number, gate & departure time. One hour is sufficient.froct12posted on Fri, Oct 5Actually, you will arrive and depart in Terminal 1 on your journey to London as all United mainline flights depart from Terminal 1 - no need for a transfer.Zippyposted on Wed, Oct 17Almost same scenario..flying from SFO to ORD and connecting to a flight for Brussels with a 56 minute layover..obviously concerned about limited timing to catch the international leg. Arrival and departure terminals listed as T1 on ticket. Although same terminal, do I have to go through security? what if they are same terminal but end up being different concourses?APposted on Sun, Nov 4

transfer of luggage to EthihadOct 3, 201220I need to travel by Ethihad from Chicago. I am taking a seperate flight ticket from Detroit to Chicago. Would United/Delta transfer my luggage to Ethihad? can this be done in DTW or does this have to be done i Chicago, since I bought 2 seprate tkts - 1 for domestic and 1 for international?ANposted on Fri, Sep 28With two separate tickets you will need to contact your first airline (which one? -United is at T1 & T2 or Delta at T2) if it would transfer your bags at ORD to your Etihad flight at T5 - if not you need to take bags and re-check them in at the terminal of Etihad (T5).sasep12posted on Sat, Sep 29Nope, they won't transfer the luggages. Etihad's codeshare partner is American Airlines, so if it is a different domestic carrier then you need to collect the baggages from the respective terminal and check in at Terminal 5 (for International travel). In your case, you need it to carry it from Terminal 1 (United) to Terminal 5 (International Terminal) and check in the baggages.BunkerBusterposted on Wed, Oct 3

International to Domestic in 1 hr 30 minSep 27, 201210My flight arrives from London at 7:25 pm at terminal 3, and my connecting flights departs at 9:00 pm from terminal 1, I think(I'm flying AA). Is that enough time to clear immigration, customs and a security check?JKposted on Thu, Sep 27On arrival at ORD you will arrive at the International Terminal 5 at M gates - not T3! After exiting the Federal Inspection and luggage re-check areas, proceed up one level to the Airport Transit System. The freeATS shuttle train runs every few minutes between Terminal 5's ATS level nd domestic terminal 3, your AA connection. T3 has gates areas G through L. You have enough of time.PilotJoeposted on Thu, Sep 27

Connecting flightOct 17, 201220Is one hour long enough to make a connecting flight on AA from LIT to CDG? Do the bags check all the way through or do I have to pick them up and take them to international scty?TWposted on Fri, Sep 14You most likely arrive at ORD Airport at the domestic Terminal 3, and depart from its international Terminal 5. The ATS shuttle train runs every few minutes between Terminal 5's ATS level the and domestic terminals 1, 2 & 3. At Terminal 5, Concourse M with M gates wraps around the concessions Court to the left (gates M12-M21) and to the right (gates M7-M1), and extends northward in the center to gates M8-M11 (prepare yourself for long walks from check-in to gates). AA will transfer bags to connecting flight. You have enough time.sasep12posted on Sat, Sep 15

int'l-to-domestic flight/securitySep 13, 201220I'm returning to ORD from Paris and have a domestic connection on the same airline (AA). Will I need to clear security again to make the domestic flight? This impacts what I may buy duty-free before leaving Paris.JBposted on Wed, Sep 12On arrival at ORD (Terminal 5)you you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag; then proceed up one level to the Airport Transit System (ATS) station and take the train to your connecting Terminal 3, which has Concourse G (gates G1A-G21 and on the lower level gates G13-G15); Concourse H (gates H1-H18; Concourse K (gates K1-K17); and Concourse L (gates L1-L10). You will need to fill out a customs declaration form. Concourse H has gates H1-H18, with a Rebooking Center near gate H7. Between Concourses H & K is the Admirals Club. Concourse K with gates K1-K17 has a Rebooking Center at gate K10A and the Flagship Lounge near K16. Concourse L has gates L1-L10 but no airline lounges. (for Virgin America, Spirit, JetBlue, Air Choice One and American airlines) . 2.Passengers transferring from O'Hare's International Terminal to any of the Domestic Terminals: After exiting the Federal Inspection and luggage re-check areas, proceed up one level to the Airport Transit System where you can easily connect to either terminals 1, 2 or 3 for domestic flights. A free shuttle train running every few minutes can take you there. 3. The ATS shuttle train runs every few minutes between Terminal 5's ATS level the and domestic terminals 1, 2 & 3.thsep12posted on Thu, Sep 13(Reply by thsep12) On arrival at ORD (Terminal 5)you you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag; then proceed up one level to the Airport Transit System (ATS) station and take the train to your connecting Terminal 3, which has Concourse G (gates G1A-G21 and on the lower level gates G13-G15); Concourse H (gates H1-H18; Concourse K (gates K1-K17); and Concourse L (gates L1-L10). T3/GateL6A to T3/K12Sep 5, 201210arriving #5094 at 5:30pm at T3/ L6A; connecting flight to London departs at 6:05pm at T3/K12. Checked baggage, 2 travelers, one is a senior. Is there enough time to get from one gate to the other? Travel agency made the res despite my warning to give us more time to transfer planes!skrindyposted on Wed, Sep 51. You check your bags at your original departure airport. Make sure that that your original airline will transfer bags at ORD to your connecting airline, if a different one - not all airlines do, in which case you would have to claim your bag, and re-check it in with your next airline (30 mins would then hardly make it). 2. On arrival at Concourse L of Terminal 3, you merely walk towards the concourse exist and enter the adjacent Concourse K to your K12 gate, a matter of no more than 10 mins.wesep12posted on Wed, Sep 5
