I am looking into flights from Providence, RI to Vancouver Canada in January 2018 on a Friday. I will be arriving at Chicago O Hare Airport coming in from Providence at 11:15 a.m. with United Express, with a 59 minutes layover time, then catching another United flight out of Chicago to Vancouver. There will be terminal change, but I don't know which ones. Will there be enough layover time?
That is enough time. The flights will be in Terminal 1 or 2 (likely 1), which are all connected inside security. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
I will be flying into ORD on my way to EWR, by way of AAirlines. I have been given only 38 mins for layover. Any ideas on how or which way I will turn? I have printed out a map of all needed terminals.
Where are you flying to out of Chicago? All American gates are in Terminal 3.
I am flying to Newark(liberty) I will have a layover there then board Emirates to go to Mumbai
This is my first flight overseas as an adult so I'm kinda nervous and frustrated. Do you perhaps know I fly into ORD fl3113 then dep fl 1191 for EWR on Sunday 8-20. I really like some kinda idea where to go please ZAP!
TMR - what airline? Where are you flying into ORD from?
Sorry, I see that it's American. That is enough time if the first flight is on-time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both in Terminal 3.
Thank you ZAP
I'm traveling from SNA by UA A320, then connect at ORD to BGR by ERJ 175 on 8/14/17, pls show me the gate/terminal connections and how long it takes between the gates. Thanks.
You will arrive in Terminal 1 and depart from Terminal 1 or 2. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You can walk between any two gates in 15-20 minutes as they are all connected inside security.
Thank you. The information is very helpful, and make me feel secure for juggling between arrival and departure gates with only layover time of one hour also😀
I am arriving August 19th in Terminal 1 on United at 6:31pm, and have a departing flight with Emirates out of Terminal 5 at 8:30pm. I will have to pick up my bags then go to Terminal 5 with my luggage and recheck and go through security. Will I have enough time?
That's just enough time if everything goes perfectly.
I have a domestic flight from AVL that (likely) arrives Terminal 2, Concourse F at 6:06pm. My connection is an Iceland Airways flight to KEF that departs 7:30pm. Does this layover provide enough time to make the connection? Will the new TTB shuttle be running in November? We will have only carry-on, no bags to check. Thanks.
What new "TTB Shuttle"? The ATS Train connects the terminals outside security. You have just enough time if the flight from Asheville is on-time.
I understand the Terminal Transfer Bus (TTB) just started running in June between Terminal 3 and 5, allowing passengers to stay within the secure area and not have to exit, then be re-screened for security in Terminal 5. However it is described as running only in spring, summer and fall but not winter. It is intended to reduce time for travelers connecting to international flights but I didn't know if it would run the first week of November (fall? winter?). With only 85 minutes to connect, I feel like every minute will count.
Yes, it's unclear whether it will be running then. I would be inclined to say no as early November is actually a very non-busy part of year.
My son will arrive at ORD's terminal 3. He must get his luggage and meet someone at terminal 5. Where is the ATS stop located at terminal 3?
It's located across the roadway from Terminal 3 on the departures level, there is a skybridge across the roadway to the station, it is well marked.
I fly Ba (operated by AA) from NY LGA to ORD land at 16.12 T3 and then BA ORD to LHR 17.30 T5, will this be enough time? Do you have to collect bags or do they go straight to next flight. I'm on English passport. Thanks
You just have to take the ATS Train to Terminal 5 and go through security. You have enough time if the flight from New York is on-time.
does he need to collect luggage?
I noticed that United flies out of Terminal 1. For those who have flown United Domestically then to United International is it still out of Terminal 1 or do I need to calculate going to terminal 5?
If the second flight is also operated by United, ANA, or Lufthansa, it will depart from Terminal 1.
Thank you! That helps!
How long does it take to get Fromm Terminal 3 Gate G16 to K19? I have 1 hr between flights and have two small children.
Probably about 15 minutes.
I am flying home from vacation in Denmark. I leave Denmark and arrive in Ohare at 5:30 (terminal 5 SAS airlines), then I have a connecting flight to DFW at 7:30 (terminal 1 - United). It is all on one ticket through SAS even though United is servicing the domestic portions. Do I have to claim my luggage and clear customs in Ohare? Do I recheck my baggage at Term 5 or take it on the ATS to term 1 to have it rechecked? With a 2 hr window, will I make it?
Yes, in Terminal 5 you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk in Terminal 5, take the ATS to T1 and go through security. You should have enough time.
