hi, i'm going to calgary with a connection in chicago, do i need go to canadian immigration in chicago or in calgary? because i only have 55 min of layover in chicago.
There is no US Customs when leaving the US. You will go through Canadian Immigration and Customs in Calgary. So if your first flight is domestic then you just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
I am arriving AA from Columbus and need to check in for a United flight to Germany. How do I get from one place to another and do I collect my luggage from AA first ?
Yes, you need to collect your baggage from AA in T3, re-check it with United in T1, and go through security.
Hey, I am flying a United flight from Bwi with a connection in Chicago. I have 50 minutes between flights (both united) will I have enough time?
Yes, all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
I just found out that I'll be arriving in Terminal 2, Gate F11 and need to make a connection in Terminal 1, Gate C23.

I have a little more than an hour, will I make it?
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. It shouldn't take much more than 15 minutes.
My international flight (China Hainan) arrives at terminal 5 at 1:20PM, and my domestic flight (United) leaves at 3:45, I need to claim bags upon international arrival and re-check in bags, is 2 hours and 25 minutes connection time enough? Thanks a lot!!
That's barely enough time if everything goes perfectly. You will likely have to take your bags with you to Terminal 1 to re-check them with United, unless you purchased all your flights together.
I plan to fly from Nashville to Chicago by AA and arrive at Chicago at 7:50AM, and then fly to China at 10:30am by AA. I bought ticket separately, so probably I need pick up luggage upon my arrival and recheck in my luggage for international travel, is 2 hours and 40 minutes enough for the transfer?
If you show your second confirmation to the AA agent in Nashville they should be able to check your bag through to China for you. Then you can just go to your departure gate. if they don't you still have enough time.
Hi everybody.
I have a connection flight from MUNICH to PHX through Chicago. I arrive(Lufthansa) at terminal 5 at 18:25
The flight to Phoenix is at 19:40 from terminal 1(United).
Do i have any chance to catch the flight?
if not , why the operator accepts this connection?
I am european citizen

A big thanks in advance!!
That is a very difficult connection, likely not possible. Be prepared to be stuck in Chicago overnight as I doubt there is a later flight to Phoenix on United.
I am arriving at terminal 2'Gate F3' and leaving from terminal. 1'Gate C19. How long does it take to get from the first one to the second.
Maybe 10-15 minutes. It's not too far of a walk. F3 is one of the first gates you come to in E/F.
My United flight from Cleveland arrives in ORD at 2:47pm and my flight on Austrian Air leaves for Vienna at 4:10. Is this enough time? United says yes and won't change my ticket even though the Cleveland arrival time was moved later after I purchased. It also looks like there is construction on the ATS.
Yes, that is enough time if the first flight is on-time. The ATS construction is at the end of the system, not near the terminals, so I don't believe it is affecting the connection times to Terminal 5 from other terminals.
Thank you!
Hi, I'm arriving at ORD terminal 3 on an American Eagle flight at 11:20 am and departing out of terminal 5 on Etihad at 1:05 pm (layover of 1h 45m). I don't have to check-in bags but have 2 small kids. Is this sufficient time to transfer? How long does it typically take and do we have to go through security again?
Yes, that is enough time if the first flight is on-time. You will have to go through security again in Terminal 5.
