I will be traveling from Charlotte to Japan via Chicago on United. I have been watching the daily flight tracker for the past month and the flight from Charlotte arrives in Terminal 1 Concourse B and the connecting flight takes off from the same concourse. I have a connection time of 63 minutes. I've been looking for the connection procedures to see if I will have enough time and also to see if I have to be put through the ringer with TSA and immigration.

You have enough time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Hi, I'm flying from ORD with an arrival from YUL Montreal and a departure to Tokyo Narita with ANA and a terminal change. My connection time is 1h 13m, is it enough time??

ANA departs from Terminal 1. You just have to walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Montreal.

    Thank you so much Zap!

I'll be flying from BHM to Ohare on a Luftansia flight operated by United. I only have 1:10 to transfer to a Luftansia flight to Muncih, which I assume is out of terminal 5. Should I expect the united flight to be terminal 5, or another? Is this an impossible connection

Lufthansa flights DO NOT depart from Terminal 5. They depart from Terminal 1. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Arriving United T1 Tue 24 May 7:45pm. Departing from T5 with 2h19m layover. No checked bags. This is enough time?

It's just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

I'm flying from SFO to Zurich via ORD on June 4, arriving to Terminal 1 on United and leaving from Terminal 5 on Swiss (ticketed in San Francisco). Layover time 1h30 min. Is that enough time for transfer?

That is possible but will be very difficult. You will have to hurry to T5 and hope the security lines are short.

Hi, I am flying from DFW to London through ORD. DFW to ORD is operated by american airlines and ORD to london by British airways. Do I have to come out of terminal 3 to get to terminal 5 or is there any connection between terminal 3 and 5? The layover time is 1 hr 15 mins.

There is a light rail transit system that you can take from T3 to T5. Stops by every 5-10 minutes I think.

As a British Airways passenger you can also use a shuttle that runs inside security from Concourse K to Terminal 5.

Hi, I'm flying into Chicago ORD Terminal 3 from San Jose, flight AA1407 with arrival time 2:17PM. I have separate ticket for BA0294 departure from T5 at 5:55 PM. Is this enough time for claim my luggage, transfer to T5, BA desk check in luggage, issued ticket and go through security?!? Thank you for your help.

That should be just enough time if your AA flight is on-time. You can show your BA confirmation to the AA agent in San Jose to ask that your bags be tagged through to BA.

Many thanks for your answer. One last question please. IF AA tagged my bags through to BA and I check-in online for BA flights, do I still need to come out of T3 to get to T5 check-in BA desk or can I take the BA airside shuttle from T3 to T5?

If you do that then you can take the BA shuttle.

Hi, i'm flying into Chicago from Edinburgh with United Airlines, does anyone know what terminal that comes into? alos i'll have 1 hour 30 mins to make my connecting flight to Las Vegas. Will that be enough time to get bags and get back through security? thanks!

You will arrive in Terminal 5, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, take the ATS Train to Terminal 1 and go through security. This is a very difficult connection.

Hello, i will be travelling from NRT airport (JAL airline), transiting at ORD airport with 3 hours time, to CLE airport via American Eagle. May i know which terminals involved and what stages will i go through? thank you.

You will arrive in Terminal 5, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, take the ATS Train to Terminal 3 and go through security. You should have just enough time.

Hi, I have a connecting flight from Atlanta to get on an international flight. It says the layover is 1hr 52m, is this enough time to make the connection? The airline is British Airways

British Airways does not fly from Atlanta to Chicago. That flight will be operated by American. Is your onward flight also operated by American? I need more information.

Yes, both flights are operated by American Airlines. Does this mean that both flights will be in the domestic terminal?

Yes, if your second flight is operated by American then you will both arrive and depart from Terminal 3 and all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Hi, I will be flying from ATW (WI) on United Express (ERJ 145) with an international connecting flight to Tokyo. The layover is only 56 minutes. United says on its website that I need to be at the gate 30 minutes before departure (12:30pm) Do you think I will have enough time, given my flight from ATW arrives on time? Do you know which terminal United Express uses? Thank you!

You will arrive in Terminal 2. It is connected by a walkway inside security to Terminal 1 where you depart. You should have enough time.

I'm flying international in early June: leaving Austin tx and arriving in ORD to my connecting flight in ORD then on to London. Baggage will be checked straight though I believe. Will I have to go through security again at Terminal 5?

    What airlines are you flying?

Hi when flying thru ORD from Fargo on United to Dublin on Aer Lingus would we have to go through security?

Yes, Aer Lingus operates from Terminal 5. You will have to go through security again in Terminal 5.

Hi if flying from Fargo on United then Aer Lingus to Dublin, would we have to go from Terminal 1 to terminal 5 and go outside security? I'm concerned about going thru security with the wait times. We have 2:20 min layover.
