Hi - I am flying from SJC to ORD on United, and then have 1 hour 15 min transit time time to catch another UA flight to LHR. I am traveling with 3 kids, no carry on baggage. Would this be enough time for me to transit ?
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do in Chicago is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Hi, I will be traveling from HKG to ORD on Cathay Pacific, landing at 2pm T5, and I'm getting a seperate ticket to New York. Option 1 is Spirit Air departing at 5:45pm, option 2 is Jetblue departing at 8:50pm. I prefer option 1 but am wondering if there is enough time for connection? Do I need to go through immigration and security, get my baggage, then move to T3 departure hall to check-in my baggage again, and go through immigration and security once more? I'm a non-US citizen with a B1/B2 visa. Normally how long will it take for immigration for non citizen? Thanks.
Yes, you have to do all of those things. 3.5 hours would be just about enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I will be flying from YYZ to NRT with layover of 50 minutes at ORD. The first flight is with Air Canada and second flight is with United (purchased from same agency). Will I have enough time? What is the best way to go from terminal 2 to terminal 1?
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is follow the walkway from T2 to T1.
Thank you for your response. Will I have to go through customs/security at ORD?
No, you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto ans there is no US Immigration or Customs when leaving the US and the walkway runs inside security.
I may be flying from Las Vegas to London through Chicago OHare. LAS-ORD is American Airlines, ORD-LHR is British Airways. Will I need to recheck my bags? It's all on the same reservation/booking. I only have 2 hours and 55 minutes between flights.
No, you won't have to re-check your bags. Just take the ATS Train from T3 to T5 and go through security. You should have plenty of time.
I will be flying from SEATTLE to ORD in Alaska flight scheduled to arrive at 06:00PM in ORD Terminal 3. Then I need to get into the connection international flight ( Qatar Airways) in ORD Terminal T5 which is scheduled to depart at 7:45 PM. Do I have enough time to get into 7:45 flight? Do I need to check in the baggages again in ORD ?If yes,how can I transfer my baggages from terminal 3 to Terminal 5?
Is it one reservation or two separate reservations?
It is one reservation only.
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is take the ATS Train from T3 to T5 and go through security.
I am flying with AA on March 22 to Guatemala. My first leg is out of O'hare, I then land in Miami with an hour and a half layover and then take off to Guatemala. My initial flight out of ORD wouldn't be out of the international airport, correct? And I shouldn't have to reclaim my bags in Miami, right? Is Miami similar to ORD, where my flight to Guatemala will be out of a non connecting airport?
In Chicago you will leave from Terminal 3 like every other AA flight. In Miami all the gates are connected so all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate on your way to Guatemala.
We have a flight from DC to ORD arriving in Terminal 3 at 6pm. Departing at 6:40pm (again with AA) from Terminal 3 for a flight to Dublin. Bags will already be checked. Will this be enough time to get from one flight to the next?
It's enough time if the first flight is on-time. Both flights should be in the H/K concourse.
