I am looking to nook flight from HEATHROW to ST LOUIS MO, having 1.40 hours layover in ORD with united airlines... is it enough time.. do we need to collect baggage and recheck them at ORD.. thanks
Yes, in Chicago you will arrive in Terminal 5, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, take the ATS Train to your departure terminal, and go through security.
I booked an itinerary for me and another person to fly to Dublin but we have a connection flight at O'Hare. First flight with American Airlines is expected to land Saturday night Terminal 3 at 5:41pm with a 1 hr 40 minute layover before our Aer Lingus flight leaves Terminal 5 at 7:20 pm. I know we have to get outside to the ATS to go to Terminal 5 and back through security. Is this going to be enough time? From what I can tell it'll be close but would rather avoid the $250+ fees in changing flight plans. Especially when a one way ticket to ORD earlier that day would only run about $40.....appreciate any advice and how to get through quickest!
It should be enough time if the flight from MSP is on-time.
Hi I have a flight from Milwaukee to O'Hare and then to Dublin, my flight to Chicago is with United airlines, I have a 4 hour layover in O'Hare before my flight to Dublin with Aer Lingus; do I need to re-check my bags? Do you know what terminals I'd be arriving in and out of? Thank you
You do not have to claim and re-check your bags if everything is on the same reservation. You will arrive in Terminal 1 or 2 (likely 2) and depart from Terminal 5. You will have to take the ATS Train to Terminal 5 and go through security. You have enough time. Also, the code for Milwaukee is MKE and the code for Dublin is DUB.
Okay thank you so much, where will the ATS train be located to travel to terminal 5? So baggage claim is not necessary? Thank you for your help!
The ATS Train is located outside security across the roadway (there is a pedestrian bridge to it). Yes, baggage claim is not necessary if everything is on the same reservation.
I'm flying from St Louis to Chicago and connecting to London. Both the inbound and outbound flights are on American Airlines and in terminal 3. I have 1 hour and 15 minutes between flights. Is this enough time to connect? I've done this journey before and for some reason I was unable to check in to the second flight until I got to Chicago, although that time I was flying via AA and then BA.
That is plenty of time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate in T3.
Hello there, I will be flying from YYZ to ORD on AA, will arrive in T3. After that, I will be flying from ORD to NRT on JL, departs in T3 as well. So when I arrive in T3, do I need to pass thru TSA security again? Or I can just walk to next gate departing to NRT"? Thank you!
You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. All you have to do in Chicago is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
I have a 40min layover in ORD terminal 3 on monday, arriving from Toronto YYZ at 12:39 and leaving ORD at 13:19....boarding time should be 13:00 or before I guess...is this too risky? it's all in terminal 3.
It's possible but it leaves no time to spare if the flight from Toronto is delayed.
