Hello,my family (hubby,myself,1 kid) are flying july 4, 2013 from IAH-HKG, connecting @ ORD, but only 48 min connection time between ORD to HKG. We are flying United. Is this enough time coming from domestic to international? Not sure what gates will be used. Thanks for the input!

Both gates will be in Terminal 1. If your first flight is on-time you will have enough time.

I'm flying into ORD on Saturday morning. I need to get to terminal 2 for my connection. How long will it take us to get there? I'm in a wheelchair and we are working with an hour and half connection time

With the wheelchair assistance it should take about 20-30 minutes.

Arriving from Spain on friday 21st. AA at 14:10 and departing to SFO 16:30. is that gap enough to clear customs and change terms (from 5 to 3)? I've been told a buggage drop facility is within term 5 after customs clearance. Is that true?

It will be close but you should be OK. If you miss your connection American will have a later flight to SFO you can be rebooked on. Yes, the baggage drop is inside Terminal 5 right after you exit customs.

  • connect time 52 minutes enough ?

Is connecting time of 52 min enough on monday between: arriving flight UA 843 from San Diego - departing flight UA 972 to Brussels . I don't know which terminals we arrive/depart from. I suppose lugage will automatically be transfered. We are 4 trvalling (incl 2 children 13 & 9y)

forgot to give the timetable: 17h08 : arriving flight UA 843 from San Diego 18h00 :departing flight UA 972 to Brussels

Both of your flights will be in Terminal 1, either concourse B or C. The two concourses are connected by a short tunnel with moving walkways. It shouldn't take more than 15 minutes to get between your gates, even with the kids.

I arrive at gate G7 at 5:10pm and Depart at 6:05pm at gate K15. Will I have time to make my connection? Do I have to go through security again?

Yes, that should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. No you won't have to go through security again.

You arrive at Terminal 3, at its Concourse G; exit the concourse and walk over to Concourse K (same terminal) which has gates K1-K20. No need for security check.

Hi, I will be reaching Chicago ORD by American Airlines (Terminal 3) and will be departing by ETIHAD (terminal5). I have 1 hour 30 min time during this transit. I will be traveling with a 18 year old Kid . So could some one please tell me if I can make it in time.

    Sorry 18 Month Old kid.

It's possible but you'll have to hurry and hope your first flight is on-time. If your tickets were bought on one reservation American may be able to get you your boarding pass for the Etihad flight at your origination. In Chicago, you will have to go out of Terminal 3 to the ATS train, take it one stop to Terminal 5, and go back through security.

im flying from mbs to chicago to lhr with a 41 min connection time is that going to give me enough time to get to c16 ?

If your flights are via United or United Express, your transfer time will be enough. You would arrive in Trminal 1 at either B or C gates.

Actually, you will arrive in Terminal 2, but you can walk to Terminal 1 Where your london flight will depart without having to go back through security. However, you will have to hurry. It could take about 20 minutes to walk between gates.

thank you hopefully it wont be delayed

I arrive at Gate 19A (American Eagle) in Terminal 3 at 9:10 pm and depart for Heathrow (American Airlines) from Gate K19 Terminal 3 at 9:45. Do I have to go through security? Should I alert the airline?

No, you do not have to go through security. You just have to walk between your gates. If your first flight is on-time you should be OK if you hurry.

I fly into ORD on Spirit Airlines and on AirBerlin. Are they both located in Term. 3? Do I have to collect baggage and go thru security again? Please advise.

Yes, you will have to - Spirit will not transfer your bags to Air Berlin. Plan at least 2 hours for your transfer as Spirit is frequently late.

Are Spirit Airlines and AirBerlin both located in Term. 3?

Yes, they are. (Air Berlin arrivals are in Terminal 5, but departures are in Terminal 3).

I arrive in ord at 9pm in terminal 1 with united, will I have enough time to get to terminal 2 with Lufthansa, to frankfurt Germany, going through customs? also do I need to worry about getting checked luggage at the change?

Terminals 1 & 2 have a walkway at post-security areas of the departures level - follow signs - you will arrive at your departure terminal T1's upper level. (Only international arrivals at US airports need to go through customs). Both United & Lufthansa are members of the Star Alliance - your bags will automatically be transferred. Note: your domestic United flight arrives in T2, your international Lufthansa flight departs from T1 which has Concourses B & C with corresponding gates.

Lufthansa flights leave from Terminal 1, not Terminal 2. If your first flight is on-time and your Lufthansa flight does in fact leave at 10:35 PM you should have enough time.

Will I have enough time to connect from United express-arrive at 8:20 pm Wed night and fly out at 9:10pm Swiss international..do not have to recheck bags. First time flying international, do not know my way around

You will have to change terminals by taking the ATS train from T1 or T2 to T5 for your departure on Swiss. The connection will take you 30-40 minutes so there's very little room for error.

Note that Terminal 1 has B & C gates; Terminal 2 has E & F gates. Terminal 5 has M gates M1-M21 divided into three gateways around the concessions court: M12-M21; M7-M1, & M8-M11. You arrive via ATS train at Terminal 5's ATS train station across from upper-level roadway - upon entering T5 you will be on the ticketing level, proceed up to the departures level & go through security check and on to your gate. Hurry!

We are flying in on UA into terminal 1 at 2:05pm and fly out of Terminal 5 on Aer Lingus at 3:50pm. Will we have enough time to make our connection?

Yes, if your first flight is on-time you should have enough time. You take the ATS train between terminals and go through security again in T5, but it shouldn't be that bad mid-afternoon (before the Europe flight rush).

  • Is 50 mins enough time?

Next week I have an upcoming flight from Fairbanks, Ak to Pittsburgh, Pa with a 50 minute layover at ORD with united my question is will this be enough time to make my connecting flight? I'm a little anxious flying already trying to get back home for a surprise visit I just do not want the surprise on me and miss my flight! Thanks in advance

Yes, that should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. You will arrive in Terminal 1 and if your flight to Pittsburgh is on United mainline it will also be in Terminal 1, if it's on United Express it could be in Terminal 1 or 2 (but you can walk between the two terminals without having to go through security)

AER LINGUS-flight operated by UNITED AIRLINES - arrive on 08JUN @ 11:22am - Depart @ 3:50pm AER LINGUS - Is there enough time to get to T5 from the terminal where UNITED AIRLINES comes in? Also, how do I get to T5? Will I have to go through TSA or CUSTOMS and if so how long will that take? A travel agency booked my flights on one ticket. Thanks!

You have plenty of time. You will take the ATS train from T1 to T5. It should take about 25 minutes. You will go through security in T5.
