Flying Manchester(UK) to ORD then to Toronto. I have 1hr45 between flights. Is this enough time to change terminals? And if both flights are AA will i need to recheck my bag?
Yes, you will arrive in Terminal 5, go through US Immigration, claim your bag, go through US Customs, re-check your bag at the re-check desk, then take the ATS Train to Terminal 3 and go through security. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Arriving Terminal 5 on Etihad 151 from Abu Dhabi. One clears US customs in AUH. US citizen.
Departing a United Express flight out of Terminal 2.
The flights are on separate reservations, but the bags are checked all the way through to Omaha.
Will bags need to be claimed and rechecked in Chicago or can one just proceed to the train from 5 to 2?
We'll have 2,5 hours between flights. 10am arrival on EY and 12:30 departure on UA.
If it's two separate reservations it's unlikely you will be able to get your bags checked through to Omaha, but if you do then you won't have to claim them in Chicago. If you don't you will have to take your bags to Terminal 1 to re-check with United.
I am traveling from Dublin arriving at 1:55p and have a connection to Springfield Illinois on united at 3:30p. Will I have enough tome to make my flight? Will I need to go through customs upon my arrival from Dublin? How far are the terminals apart? Thank you
You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin. Are you flying Aer Lingus or United from Dublin?
I will be travelling from Orlando- ORD with a 50 minute layover before ORD-Tokyo Narita. All codeshare/same reservation with ANA/United.. Didnt realize the tight time- All should be in Terminal 1. Will we make our flight granted that our original flight from Orlando is on time?
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Hi - I am flying from SJC to ORD on United, and then have 1 hour 15 min transit time time to catch another UA flight to LHR. I am traveling with 3 kids, no carry on baggage. Would this be enough time for me to transit ?
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do in Chicago is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Hi, I will be traveling from HKG to ORD on Cathay Pacific, landing at 2pm T5, and I'm getting a seperate ticket to New York. Option 1 is Spirit Air departing at 5:45pm, option 2 is Jetblue departing at 8:50pm. I prefer option 1 but am wondering if there is enough time for connection? Do I need to go through immigration and security, get my baggage, then move to T3 departure hall to check-in my baggage again, and go through immigration and security once more? I'm a non-US citizen with a B1/B2 visa. Normally how long will it take for immigration for non citizen? Thanks.
Yes, you have to do all of those things. 3.5 hours would be just about enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I will be flying from YYZ to NRT with layover of 50 minutes at ORD. The first flight is with Air Canada and second flight is with United (purchased from same agency). Will I have enough time? What is the best way to go from terminal 2 to terminal 1?
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is follow the walkway from T2 to T1.
Thank you for your response. Will I have to go through customs/security at ORD?
No, you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto ans there is no US Immigration or Customs when leaving the US and the walkway runs inside security.
